So, about Brink requirement

I just did a test on this site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com to see if I am able to run Brink (I've just pre-ordered it). And apparently my computer failed, when it came to the CPU.

Minimum: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or equivalent
You Have: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz

Before today I didn't really know that there was a difference between Intel Core 2 Duo and Dual-Core processors. Can anyone explain or hypothesise to me, if I might have problems running a very tweaked version of Brink? :)

Core2Duo is a newer technology.

Just ran it on my Laptop (Core2Duo 2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, GeForce 8600M GT) and it ... well how to say... it ran but was not playable for us smoothness loving gamers. Very laggy (ofc due to the low system). But even really low resolution and lowered graphic quality didnt help much.

I am running a core 2 duo at 2.6 and I'm pretty woried that it will be slow as hell.

Considering buying a new PC if it doesn't run smooth.

got also dualcore e6300 2.8ghz @3.34 and its running smoothly. dont think that dualcore is like much worse than core2duo...shouldnt make any bigger difference and u should be able to run it okayish. or simply overclock it a bit

it definitely is. well dont believe to some script on random site. i played it for 2 mins and it ran very decent @high details with AA/AF

I expect it to be quite tweakable but it won't make a damn difference. ETQW ran shit no matter what settings I used and I fear it will be the same in brink. :&

Wolfenstein ran quite well (I do think I had almost 125 fps constantly) on my computer, with tweaks and the promod; it also used the etqw engine. So I have to disagree with you there.

ofc Brink can run on ur pc but with pretty low fps.

dual core = only 2 cores processors
core2duo = intel's dual core processors with newer technology than pentium dual core processors.
