Logitech 5Hv2
wtf
zo ne staande mic en een koptelefoon van den aldi, da werkt et best
only for gaming, Steelseries 5h v2 is ok, but you wont enjoy music/movies with it (well, if you had only some random <30e headphones before, then you will see sound improvement, but for 70e-80e you can get much better than 5h v2).
In that price range, I would recommend Steelseries (Icemat) Siberia, great sound performance, nice mic. If you want even better sound quality, go for Sennheiser HD515 (dunno if they still sell them, they had been substituted by HD518) but you need some external mic for it.
I will use it for gaming only, got speakers for movies/music

u still think that Steelseries Siberia is better than 5H for gaming only or not?
Parent
in all fairness, it does not matter what you use for games if its above 50-60e (at least from my experience), for gaming Steelseries 5h v2 could be better because of their lack of basses, so explosions are not that distracting, but thats all i guess, If I had a choice to get some headset again, I would never go for 5h v2 again (well, I would not want to get headset in first place, headphones in same price range as headsets have always better tech specs and perform overally better).
Parent
It's been said a million times, and ill say it again.
Don't get a headset marketed for gaming. Instead, get a good pair of cans and a separate microphone.

Nobody will listen :D Their loss so nP

Perhaps if made easier.

This thread has prettymuch everything

You'd also need a microphone, i can't really say much about these but i've had good experiences with the Zalman ZM-MIC 1 which is actually pretty cheap also.

im using the one from my MP3 player :)
QuoteLogitech 5Hv2

Steelseries* ^^
dont buy 5Hv2, imo they are doing something with a sound... i got them about 2 yrs ago and im still unhappy

i would recommend Siberia, as I was playing on them quite a while and they were better for me
imo they are doing something with a sound.

o rly?
Parent
yep, tested it on two pairs of 5Hv2 ive got in my house and both were doing some shit like turning up/down volume of few sounds in et, i didnt have such a problems with icemat siberia

OR (and i dont think thats the problem because i noticed it on 2 pcs but its still possible) there is smth wrong with my audio drivers/music card
Parent
Don't bother with Steelseries. Shit headphones that last 3 weeks.
mine worked for around 3years, it's broken now though :)
Parent
Totally not worth the money tbh. Get a decent sounding headset with the speedlink clipon mic. Half the price twice the performance and will actually last without breaking!
Parent
can you advice me such a headset? I'm also in need of a new one now
Parent
for that price range the Koss KSC75 is actually a bit better.

But if I'd have to buy a new set of cans myself, I would probably get the Sony MDR-V6
Parent
Budget? Lans or just home use? Computer only use or hi-fi use too?

some thats comfortable and durable and not that bassheavy and closed would be nice for lans but not that big deal.. looks like mission impossible though, guess that steelseries one is ok if it comes with 2y+ a warranty :D
Steelseries Siberia V2 (white), buy it 70€ on pixmania.be
