Overclocking mouse

I'm using OCZ Equalizer mouse with 125 hz and I wanted to overclock it to 500/1000 hz, dled a program, followed the instructions, but it seems that this mouse can't handle more than the default 125 hz.
I tried to set it to 62 hz and it worked fine.
But when I try to set it to 250 hz, it keeps being stuck at 125. Is it possible for a gaming mouse not being able to reach 250/500/1000 hz ? This is bullshit...

you cant overclock OCZ equalizer which is an oem version of a4tech old mouse which were also impossible to overclock
