New computer

Yeah, got new computer today. Tested it in CSS, constant 300fps, fick yea!

My computer specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3,6GHz ( Every store ran out of 955 so had to go with 965 )
GPU: ASUS GTX550 TI DC PCIE 1GB GDDR5
Motherboard: ASUS AM3+ AMD870 DDR3 USB3 GBLAN ATX (Turbo mode! core unlocker (can go for 6cores)
HD: SAMSUNG F3 3.5" 1TB SATAII 32MB 7200rpm
Case: ANTEC ONE HUNDRED GAMING CASE ( Got this for free!)
PSU: OCZ 600W StealthXStream Power Supply (They didn't have Nexus 630W :( )
Memory: KINGSTON HYPERX BLU 4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC CL9 ( Planned to buy 8GB but once again, they didn't have 8GB memory I wanted )
CD/DVD: SONY OPTI 16X DVDROM BLACK

This all costed 516€

Plus bought one ethernet-cable to my awesome brand new 40MB internet!

What you think about my new computer?

ALSO!!!! My friend is having problems with Steelseries Ikari. When he presses high dpi button, his all lights go out, cursor freezez but buttons work! Any solution?

lol u would get it for 490e ( btw amd isnt good + 550 SUCKS hard )

+ 4gb is enough u never use more so :)

The new top range computers now usually install around 24GB ram.. why? Multitasking.

If you run programs for video and photo editing and general developement, along with dozens of lower memory programs, plus different internet sites as tabs open(new sites that use a lot of different technologies use surprising amounts of RAM) you will not need exactly 24GB but the needed RAM will go well over 4GB. Thats just work and net.

Normal gamer will rarely need it tought lol.

What processor and GPU you would have recommended then?

I had 580 euros budget so I didn't have money for blu-ray. I don't even use CD/DVD drive much.

I don't do nothing with 6 cores, plus it wouldn't fit my budget (which was 580euros). It would have fit if we would have noticed before that we actually got case for free (the storeman forgot to add it to overall price:D!)

My Motherboard has core unlocker which can unlock 2 cores more. It also has TURBO mode!

Phenom II 965 on 6 fyysistä corea joista kaksi on lukittu:)

Emo tukee AM3+ kantasia prossuja, joka takaa sen, että kun konetta alkaa päivittämään niin valikoima on laajempi kun voi ottaa mukaan myös AM3+ kantaiset prossut. Se myös tukee yleistyvää USB 3.0. Kriteereinä oli päivitettävyys ja hintakin oli halpa. (86euroa)

Miks ostaa nyt uus kone? tulee bulldozerit täs/syyskuus. Ja viel noin kallilla :|. Tilaan ite saksasta ens kuussa kans uudet osat, luultavasti sandy bridgeä, jollei AMD bulldozerit yllätä.

Just pari päivää sitte kattelin et paljo tulee maksaa, ni 334e + kustit 30e mindfactorystä.( i5 2500k 170e, perus asrockin emo (z68) olikoha 87e, 8gb muistii 34e, samsunging f3 43e). Ja on huomattavasti tehokkaampi setti ku toi. (tosin ilman uutta näyttistä, koteloa ja poweria, koska ostin ne jo keväällä). Mut silti kokonaishinta samaa luokkaa ku sun settis.

Mutta sit taas, tietokone ei oo sijotus et sama se mitä tahansa ostaa, ni hetken päästä on taas paremmat osat ja halvemmat hinnat. Ja jos et käytä konetta muuhunku pelaamisee, ni sitte ei sinällää väliä, koska tolla prossulla toimii kaikki uudetki pelit iha moitteetta. Aika huonon näyttiksen menit kyl ostaa.

PS. Muisteja ostaessa osta vaa halvimmat, erot on mitättömät halvempien ja kalliimpien muistien välillä. Kannattanee toki kattoo et valmistajalla elinikänen takuu. (ei kyllä toisaalta mitään väliä, koska koneen päivität kuiteski kokonaan uusiks taas muutaman vuoden päästä ja heität vanhat osat roskii / myyt muutamalla latilla kavereille / annat pois).
