My friend recommended this movie. I was like cool, I'll enjoy this cool movie but you kinda ruined my hope. :(

My favourite proverb fits this situation, too: The journey is more important that the destination.

The often so obvious outcome of the plot is not the part of the movie you should concentrate on, instead you focus on how it gets to that point.

I suck at explaining, don't I?

I figured you mean that but if the lead-up to the plot is so damn obvious, the journey towards the climax ain't really that interesting either ;)
