Actually it doesn't have to do with the genders at all. It's just as grammatically wrong in German as it is in English, it's just a phrase that has been picked up (or hasn't died down) for ages and was just directly translated by him.

I would say it is a fair mix probably, its hard enough typing in my own language most of the time let alone remembering what goes where for another one :D I guess it is easier to learn English as a german though then the other way round.

We're talking about possessive pronouns here, not the gender of objects, hence it's an entirely different scenario. And yes, I figure German is pretty difficult to learn for non-native speakers, despite it being a Germanic language.

No, either of these was mandatory. We, for example had to choose in 7th grade to either pick Latin or French and in 9th we were free to pick Latin, French or Russian, but that varies among states and schools.

I do not really have a high education done. but im still able to understand english and speak it aswell. idd prolly my sentence or my grammar isnt well but you do understand it, but my 1st lang is dutch and i can speak and write that prolly the way you speak english. i wanna say with this im able to get allong with several lang but indeed my english/german/spanish isnt really awsome but still when i go to 1 of the country's they speak those lang in im able to find my way. but here in the netherlands if germans or french people come they do not speak english, neither does frenchies speak german.
