" Fill in the correct simple past form of the verbs, add the adverb of frequency and turn the sentence in a negative statement afterwards."
My friends and I rarely drank (to drink) alcohol when we went (to go) out dancing - rarely
--> My friends and I didn't rarely drink alcohol when we went out.
correct or not? Cause a classmate is confusing me like hell -_-

are you sure you have to use "rarely"?
rarely/ didn't... een van de twee maar geen beiden
making "didnt" out of "did not" sounds a bit weird but i am not that pro at engchlis
else "went" should be "go"
Simple past = imperfekti
e: worm siis, toi eka
lots of them freeze the sperm
So
The past simple -> The past perfect
The present perfect -> The past perfect
Bruce said "I made a lot of new friends at camp."
Bruce said (that) he had made a lot of new friends at camp.
But you say its simple past,it should be:
My friends and I rarely drank alcohol when we went to dancing.
and
Rarely my friends and I didn't drink alcohol when we went out.
though instead of "not rarely" you'd more likely say "often":
My friends and I drank alcohol often when we went out.
and
Often my friends and i drank alcohol when we went out.
maybe occasionally or even always
Rarely did my friends and I not drink alcohol when we went out.
Also I'm pretty sure you can't use didn't and drank with the same subject, seeing as "to do" is an auxiliary/dummy verb that is always followed by the infinitive (base form). I didn't cycle (instead of cycled), I did do my laundry (instead of 2x did), I did drink a lot (instead of drank), I didn't wash my clothes (instead of washed) etc.
