If your keyboard came with drivers you should install them. This solved the problem for me at least

I hardly think there is such program since its hardware issue, you gotta buy some external keyboard to overcome this

You cannot fix it without a new keyboard

you can test your ghosting by pressing both shift keys down and writing "the quick brown fox". Its not 100% accurate but naturally the less letters you get the more your keyboard has ghosting issues

His problem is keyboard.
It cannot be fixed with any program, only by replacing his old keyboard with new one.
This problem is called "ghosting". Some keyboards are not able to register many key pushes at the same time and will just do *beep* sound.

I had this very problem with my old keyboard, I recommend him to buy a keyboard where is no ghosting.
If he plays FPS games and so on, Microsoft sidewinder X4 is great choice! I use it at the moment and I am able to do 'ghosting test' called 'The quick brown fox' which sungi posted above without problems : "THE QUICK BROWN FOX".
Also this keyboard is pretty cheap around 30-45€ depending where you buy it from. Also it has programmable macro keys (I use 'S1, S2 etc..." keys for opening firefox foobar2000 and some games.)
Also it has controllable back lightning which helps you to see your keys in the dark.
It has also media buttons to mute your sounds, increase decrease volume, next song, previous song, pause/play.
And plus for that you can create three slots for different uses, I use one slot for normal use and one slot for gaming.

This became a commercial speech of microsoft sidewinder x4 but I have had no problems with it throughout the year I have use it and the most important part: No ghosting!
