Every player that can join the team is allowed to play in the Winter Leagues! This should answer 1 and 2.
As for 3, the teams got checked before the matchtime, so admins were on the server only to spectate.
In the past, we were very restrictive with adding players to a team and allowing them to play, thus making our leagues very inactive. However, we are letting players freely to switch teams as long as they play in our leagues. I feel that this is the best way to go with this atm, but I also know that we still need to improve this new system.
In the end, I honestly think that this wouldn't have happened if cwg won. Players are to be blamed for being lame, not the league for letting them play however they wish.

Serious competitions(such as this years' ESL Country Championship) have more restrictive and elaborated rules.
We had to create activity in our section, so we made the Winter Leagues not so restrictive as they once were. Easy as that! :)
By not interfering in this match, I wanted to show that there's a lack of sportsmanship in this community. This is the main problem in competitions!
