If I remember correctly 1 or 2 of these All Stars players have been caught cheating. Yet they are also not banned from CyberGamer. The tournament is hosted with CGAC and Weslann is not banned from it yet. If he would be banned from CG then he wouldn't be allowed to play the cup also.
Plenty of the busted players have served their bans properly and obviously are allowed to play now. Weslan hasnt served his 20~(?) years ban yet though
Why did you decide now anyway to withdraw from the cup? You were already familiar with the fact that Weslann had been picked by Sinnu. Seems a bit odd to me though.
Not only he hasn't served his ban (matter to discussion) but he is an ego kid ready to fuck up everything "just for the lulz", since he is that retarded...
CG used TZAC though and ohurcool has/had access to the tzac database in a time range which was short enough to get them banned, so basically ohurcool proved himself as a useless cunt unwilled to punish even the most often tzac busted retards such as weslann
Well, not really. :P The CG site admins gave us complete autonomy from the start, so we could have banned whoever we wanted but instead made the decision not to enforce any of the bans from ClanBase. With no access to the CB database, we would have been unable to do it properly and therefore decided not to do it at all. Most of the people who disagree simply do not see the whole picture and think the process of banning players from a league is the same as banning players from a public server or an IRC channel.
Also, I hope you realize that you can allow or disallow anyone you want from your cups. You are the admin, which means you make the decisions regardless of whether or not the cup is hosted on CG or CGAC is forced. Just because a player is banned on CG doesn't necessarily mean he should be banned from every competition, and just because a player isn't banned on CG doesn't mean he should be allowed to play in every competition. Since you're running the cup, it is 100% up to you!
I have the original demo if you want it. I too think it is appalling that he should be allowed to play. I don't care much for ET it is just a shame to see such a cock playing this game in a cup like this. I suggest you take action.
Nobody was unbanned. There is a difference between unbanning a player and what we did - choosing not to ban players on CyberGamer who were banned on ClanBase. And there also definitely weren't any bans added "1 day before CB went down", so I'm not sure what you mean there. :P
We had several reasons for not banning CB banned players on CG, but the main one was simply that we could not do it properly with no access to the CB database. As I said above to timbolina, most of the people who disagree simply do not see the whole picture and think the process of banning players from a league is the same as banning players from a public server or an IRC channel.
That is partially why we didn't ban anyone from CB, though. It would have been a huge mess trying to work out not only who should be banned but for how long they should be banned. It's definitely not fair to ban someone who was busted in January-February 2013 for the same amount of time as someone who was busted in October-November, so we'd have ended up with all sorts of different ban lengths, which is ridiculous.
The only reason we got so much criticism (and are still getting five months later, apparently) about all of this is simply that I was the head ET admin on ClanBase and am in a similar position now on CyberGamer. If ESL had made a comeback around the same time or if someone else had started the ET section at CG, then people would have likely been a lot more forgiving about the "missing" CB bans. :P
Like Weslann is anywhere near "All Star" :D There should be some limits for the signing up parts also like X amount of EuroCups and stuff. Biggest joke ever
Well there was a rule 1 EC in 2005-2013 I believe, or something like that...
But doesn't that mean someone like lEku/froxe couldn't sign up because of that? And they're definitely more known and skilled/experienced than Weslann who is also multibusted and his ban wouldn't be over now...
Last year with disposable (or smth like that, basically Swedish NC2013 team, he got busted while those tournaments were ongoing if I remember correctly :D )
Exactly, its not anything to do with the fact that he is an ex-cheater, I'm more worried that he was the best option had and supposedly one of the best 9-10 players in North. Absolutely staggering.
I don't know how caught cheaters are even allowed to play in all stars! This is admin saying..... Someone who was playing at that level as he was a cheater is ok. Today marks and shows many reasons why this game is well n truly dead.
I totally agree with the fact that Weslann shouldn't be allowed to play in this event. I don't question it if he's an allstar material or not because that's not the case, but the fact that he cheated that hard on tzac, was returning while banned to play on fake nicks and cheats again to get a 10/20 year bans on purpose to quit the game, makes him a retard that should disallow him forever for that kind of activities.
Now with Domi you got 3 countries in this region so it shouldn't be a problem to replace him with Swanidius.
Well if you think of it this way: According to the ET Allstar rules there has to be at least 3 different countries represented in the lineup.
Now imagine, domi drops out or is simply not available for for whatever reason, team North is not able to play. And since Weslann is the only one who applied for team North besides domi and the Finns and Estonians, he is the only one who could replace domi as the 3rd nation in the lineup.
It was actually a smart move of Sinnu to put Weslann to the main lineup in advance, since otherwise the community would've picked a Finn or Estonian over him.

Most hilarious thing is though that he cheated to quit ET, worked out well eh :-D

in both cases the player is not banned though:P So they do have some similarities

Heh. More.
Mind being one of them.
I am available to replace him if needed.
Admin Logic: Let's wait him to play whole cup and cheat, then we Ban him *Genius.jpeg*
Wp admins.

why is shit like that even in the voting wtf ET xD

smart with weslan in same sentence? I rather set up exception for rule of north lineup than invite someone like that donkey into allstars lol.
