Crossfire is a oganisation with a big name in the gaming community, right? Why should a organistion like Crossfire use these annoying ad's when they can get biggers sponsors like ATi sponsored the Crossfire team on Qcon.
Most of the Crossfire users were annoyed by these ad's, and now they are placed in a even more shittier place which annoy people even more.
If Crossfire really needs the money then they can easily get big sponsors in stead of using these bullshit ad's.
I doubt that the money from these Google ad's will be used for the CPC 3, like you just said it's more for the maintenance of the website server.
If you want a nice and succesfull CPC 3, then I suggest you donate some money and find sponsors for the CPC3.
