hi2u,
A lot of ETpubs are dying lately. I know its a common believe that publics are populated with lowskillzors, one man panzers and cheaters but I personally love to paly at Midnight Spikage,.
Midnight Spikage is a 32 man server. The server has an amazing anti cheat protection and unlike Bio people actually play objective there.
Anyway, as of lately some better players discovered the server and started playing there. Most 'skilled' players consider themselves better then your average ETplayer and they tend to show this by ignoring any rules the server might have and proving what a shitty community ET is. So here's some rules on how to kill ETpub:
Always join servers with different nicks. Never use the same nick twice.
This is for obvious reasons. First off, anonimity allows you to act like an asshole. admins trying to keep out cheaters have to yawn you but will rather kick you for aimbotlike play. Also you will be playing on servers with people you know but you will never notice them (hi satz aka 'olol' ...). In this guide on how to kill ET, nicklaming is the most important aspect. Noobies will become frustrated by the random players owning, med skilled players will think people are cheating. Nicklaming is the art of being antisocial.
Always join axis
Along with nicklaming this is a very effective tool. Everybody knows ET stock maps are unbalanced and if you play oasis you really really want to be an axis monkey. Also, most 'good' players tend to join axis which make for awesome games where all the good people are playing the same team. You could also join up with 3 in the same team and start playing like a scrim, owning all the low skilled people on the server. Anyway, the general rule is to always join the winning team, never change sides even if you know it would give everybody on the server a fun and fair game. The only reason you play ET is for those precious stats at the end of the round.
Dont follow rules
Some servers limit the amount of selfkills, dont allow you to spawncamp (heavies in spawn at spawntime) or infight selfkill. We all know we are teh skilled and those server admins are just noobs. Even though they pay for the server, keep it up and running and want everybody to have fun, there is no reason you should follow their rules. There is no reason why you cant spawncamp on 32 slot servers, its fucking pro. And it kinda kills the game for all the other 31 guys playing on the server. This rule most effective when used along with the 'join axis rule' and inviting your other pro friends to join the server.
Dont play objective
Forget about reviving or teamplay. ET is about aim.
Shoutouts to:
Baggiez, Rufio, Syzygy, Hope, Rimi, Bullvox, Satz, Caybro, Paxi, Breitesau the MC and SPK crew.
Conclusion for those who dont like to read
Competetive ET is killing ETpub with our antisocial behaviour.

i go take shower :xD
btw if im correct, ithere was a mirror on HeX tj map, too.
btw: i played as allies!
edit: "i was watching chest with lucyfer and he looked a bit dodge on a few occasions his crosshair was a little way, away from the player and was managing to hit him with id say 99% of shots"
so they actually kicked me, for aiming shit? :DDDDDD
-.-
and i think u meant 15 other guys
DOH!
But about objective playing, I rather don't play for obj, I don't like it if sk amount is restricted or something else is different from competition settings...
that's why I like to play on efter or bio
if I want to play for obj and stuff I join some other server eg. nexus
awesome :DD
I think that it's rather funny that a guy has the energy to wait 30secs and camp to get 1-2 kills and then do it again, and what's the gain?
lifetimeban pls
There is no problem with sk restrictions. If there are such restriction I adopt it but I dont like it...but hey...it is not my server...so nP :>
great read but also very true, sad but true.
You probably owned everyone on that server until other decent players came on and owned you.
btw Syzygy is Lightning

nobody have the power to dictate someone how he should play. its the players business what is his gamestyle.
you dont have any power to say to the guy, who played 5 hours with his clan, saving the day 3 times, and who is now on public server to relax, "you idiot, revive me, you have no teamplay".
+
"public server" = free for all. common sense says, cheaters, teamkillers are not welcome, but the fact that you pay for server doesnt give you the law to order me that i should revive, or that i should pick objective and try to run...
people, please..........
