If everything went normal, Klöden had won the tour. And Rassmussen is the clearest Doper in the tour, although he isn't the only one.

Klöden:

- had to wait for Vino @ first mountain, but he could easily stay on top => 1.30 min
- crashed @ a normal stage & time trial (shoutcasters said it took at least 1:30-2 mins)
- he feels much pain at his knees due to the both crashes that's why he couldn't ride as good as usually

So usually he would be at least 3.30 mins closer to rassmussen, even more imo. He could easily get him @ the next time trial.

Rassmussen:

- hided himself in exactly in this time period, when you have to dope for perfect power on this tour
- bloodbag story
- They recorded some statistics and stuff. He rode with more watt/h and in less times all mountains compared to armstrong, virenque, ullrich etc. Only Pantani made it faster on one single mountain.
- He always sucked like shit in time trial. Suddenly sensationel he is under the top 10.
- he didn't even deny taht he doped. He just ignores the questions.

I haven't paid too much attention this year, but Rasmussen was climbing with the best last couple of seasons, used to have bad luck @ time trials.. guess he didn't this time.. big deal, competition just weakened

Not really. He never could ride as fast as the top of the tops. They just let him ride 1 track to get his polka dot jersey, because he never was a danger for the endresult in the last years.

He was far away to be as good as the favourites. That's why they let him ride this year again for 1 track as everyone knew USUALLY he isn't good enough to be a really favourite.

Bad luck @ time trials? He NEVER EVER was so good in time trial as in this one. He is hiding the whole year and just comes to the tour.

Rasmussen's always been the best climber in the last 3-4 years. All Armstrong did was waiting till the last climb and then go as fast as the wind, while rasmussen always attacked at the first climb and wasted energy that way... But now it seems that Contador's the better climber :).

Rassmussen attacked in the first mountains to get over all mountains at first to earn the points and get & save the polka dot jersey. And he just could made it as nobody tried to get him back as he was no danger.

So what are you talking about? He always lost much time to the "favourites", when he wasn't allowed to ride. And I don't want to mention the time trials, where he lost in the first (not the track with the many crashes) time trial 06' 30" and placed 114 of 170.

I also checked the years before, when Armstrong was still active. If you want, I can list them aswell, but the time distances are even longer.

Its a big shame both Klöden and Vino had a bad crash in the start. It would've been a fantastic race to see those two compete with Rasmussen and contador.

A few points:
- Rasmussen had to wait for Menchov on the first mountain. He was quite annoyed he wasn't allowed to take time on that mountain.

- The past two years, Rasmussens main job at time-trial was to lose time. Except for his disastrous timetrial a few years back. He most likely learned alot from that. I didn't see the trial but wasn't he quite lucky with the weather aswell? All the above plus yellow jersey, makes it possible for him to end up 11th.

That said, I'm also convinced he's using doping. As so many others. It's certainly very impressive that Contador is hanging on.

I was talking about the Armstrong era. On days when he didn't attack he just followed armstrong or finished 1 minute later. One of our belgian 'shoutcasters' had a whole theory about it but I'm too lazy to go search for it myself. And the guy on TV was right for 100%.
