Gg, my mouse died

Currently using my Wacom Graphire 4 Classic as a mouse, since my mx518 died. Already for smth like half a year it kept disconnecting at random moments (cable was fucked up), but now it rly died. I screwed it open, and the cable has a twist in it, what killed the cable... It's standard in the 510 and 518, so imo it's a rly stupid system, the mouse kills itself in time... I like made two holes in the side (had to use all kinds of stupid cutting and pulling tools, coz it's was hard plastic :/) and I lead my cable through those holes, but still it didn't help (I thought it might work when the twist was out). It's just rly fucked up. My mouse looks like this now:
So, getting myself a new one tomorrow. What do you advise? Should I buy the mx518 again, or should I go for a different one?

doesnt really matter what people advice cause hmm.. well i think its more of a personal choice..

the mx510/518/g5 shape or the 310 or maybe a razer?
i think you should buy a razer and see how that works out for you and well.. if you dont like it im pretty sure you can find someone on the nets to trade it with for another 518
The most common thing with them, is that mouse button 1 stops working (or works sometimes). (know 12 different people with the same failure).
This one, i have now will also be my last mx518, it´s a good mouse when it works, but they don't last long it seems :/
What mouse you'd advise?
Dunno really, i´ve been looking on Microsoft intellimouse 3.0 :) Cheap enough, to replace if i don't like it :)
got a razer copperhead instead, now i sometimes have a cable prob:D
