I had : Windows 95 , 98, NT ,2000, XP, Vista , crap ubuntu

XP > Vista > 2000 > 98 > 95 > NT > Systemupfucker: ubuntu

I agree, xp is very good. but i never really had much experiance with mac's OS's. I prefer custom building windows, but i have dual boot up with ubutu now :X)

Linux is better than XP but I've never actually had the time / motivation to learn to use linux. when I was studying to be a datanomi(XD), half of my classmates used linux and they tried to make me use it aswell, I even had it installed on my other computer but never actually used it.

Take two people who have both NEVER used computers EVER.

Put one on an XP machine, one on a modern Linux distribution.

They will figure out the linux machine first for sure.

agree, and realistically you dont even have to use a mouse with Linux \o/

for a free OS it rly is great!

I tried Ubuntu once (yeah, i know not the bestest linux distro) and tbh I spent more time getting my OS to do what I wanted than I was actually using my OS to run the programs I want.

The biggest reason I went back to Windows is the bad Ventrilo support and beeing a lazy person in general. In windows I could get the whole thing to work perfectly in less than an hour.

I know, whine etc. And it should work pretty fast if you have a hardware soundmixer (read creative soundcard, not onboard)

I found myself wasting way to much time on getting to know the os. I'd rather have my os running programs.

It's ventrilo's lack of linux client that sucks, not linux.

I wasn't too keen on emulating it, but it was still better than TS
