if you talk to him the time infront of the quote is the time he received it at, not the time you sent it at. it's an hour later for him so if you talk to him at 03:21 your time it will say 04:21 for him, which is why it's possible for him to get a message that in your case appears to be "ahead in time". that doesn't make it fake.
