There are options. COD4 lan should have been moved to another weekend, so the slots could be easliy expanded. (OK, don't know, if it's so easy)
Secondly, decrease the COD4 slots or give a shit about the et:qw or warsow tournament. If CROSSFIRE has to decide between ET and some other games, then ET should be always prefered, otherwise you betray your roots. And it's not like there wouldn't be enough interest in ET.
1) Usually I don't need to care as I am not involved, but as a spectator on ETTV. But that the et slots were not expanded makes me angry. It was maybe ok to reduce them in the time the amount of the signups were pretty low. Then you should have published the information "Game slots will be based on the signup rate at the xxxx". If the teams would have known it, they probaly had signed up earlier.
You can't give out a deadline and then you judge about the slots after the half of the time. Especially because everbody knew ET players are a way more relaxed.
It's kinda ungrateful to pay so less attention and primeness to a game which made "you", what you are!
What's the reason for it?! Just to join the COD4 hype to be more lucrative for another sponsors, etc? $$$$$$€€€€€
2) How stupid is it to announce a lan kowingly many people waste hours for organising a team, to arrange a sleeping place and to get a possibility to fly/drive to enschede, but finally they don't even get the chance to make it to the lan with playing a qualifier. And nothing would be so easy as to add a few more qualifier matches.
3) The direct invites of the Polak teams are a joke, although I have to admit the rest of the rating looks good.
4) I want to whine about the map pool here. But I can't find it. At least I remind me of a mappool full of luck shit maps, which are just played in ET, because of RTCW. Probaly I mean the QCUP mappool. I just found the mappool and it looks very good, but Frostbite.
Edit - to prevent the standard rewhine: Ye, probaly I don't know how hard it is to organise, such a lan and about how many points you have to care. In addition, I am thanksful for getting provided that event.

why do you even want to attend cdc? I mean, you are what, low+ skilled? you would only get raped, so how about if you leave the lans for the people who can actually play the game
