WinXP Mouse problem

Hello crossfire,

I have a problem thats been annoying me for some time now: I'm using a mx518 without setpoint. All I use is a mousefix for the accel. My problem is that everytime when I boot up windows it sets my mouse sensitivity to default [-----x-----] and also changes "mousesensitivity" in the registry. The thing that the DPI wont stay the same is normal I guess and is easy to fix by using the DPI switch on the mouse. Now if anyone knows how to make windows boot up with these settings ( mousesensitivity to 4 , Windows sens to [---x-------] and maybe that it loads with 400Dpi ) Id love you long time :x

thx and flame ON !!!

uncheck
KHALMNPR.exe
in start run msconfig startup
Also you might wanna remove the register file
CURRENT USER-SOFTWARE-LOGITECH

* edit *

your mx518 will allways startup in 800 DPI without setpoint installed afaik

Ah. Thx for that registry tip. Was looking myself for a logitech cleaning tool after I couldnt find anything in the registry.
Parent
after you removed the registry file KHALMNPR.exe will make a new (logitech) registry file after re-boot if you don't disable it !!!

check it :D euhm I mean uncheck it

Remove the setpoint.
XDDD

Yes, he uses it. And I gave him an advice to remove it.

Why wouldn't you use it, it allows you to use the default/altered windows settings if you set it to OS implementation, then you only use it to nail the DPI down to 1 (or 2 if you like) setting(s)

I got some problems with it, always messed up and mixing settings. Besides it was quite heavy. Now I am not using it and everything works.

whats wrong with logitech setpoint?! just use setpoint but change the settings so that it uses windows settings... and then u can set it to 500hz easily.. problem solved
Well, Setpoint sometimes f*cks up my sensitivity completly. Everythings fine, i reboot a few times, and then all of the sudden my sens is f*cked up again. Not even closing it and rebooting helps. I got sick of it cause the only way to fix it again was to reinstall it. I might consider reinstalling setpoint cause this dpi n registry sh*t annoys me even more. :/

Any experienced people who can recommend the best driver version of setpoint for meh mAus? thx
