like clockwork the ddos'ing onto the crossfire webserver started again with the release of a new list of their customers here:

while this distributed SYN attack brought the site down for a while, we've got it under control now. Over 250 ip's that are most likely part of a cheap botnet have been blocked in the core firewall, allowing the site to function normally while the attack persists.

well.. the botnet is a net where alot of other pc´s are connected. with a command all these other pc´s (which are like bots) gonna flood the ip they set in this command..
so the only thing xfire is logging , is the ip of all that bots.. or better say all the other pc´s which are infected and connected to that botnet (privat irc-server)

I convinced the admins banning me wouldn't make a big difference, apart from that I've been banned for cheating a year ago and been unbanned again. And tbfh I wouldn't find this list very convincing because (I can only speak for me) I didn't purchase a bot and never will. There has to be a major flaw in this list. Wouldn't surprise me if some names were added just for the reason of dislike.
