6% isn't as low as most bodybuilders go afaik, I think they have more like 3-4% of bf. 3% is about essential fat you need to have on your body I think. Anyway you should ask someone who knows about this then, I know jack shit about it. :)

This is about 5% bodyfat. You can hardly achieve anything lower without getting really unhealthy. Bodybuilders use the trick of dehydrating themselves for a short amount of time before/during a contest. Which is not without risk, since it can easily lead to kidney failure or even worse.
For endurance athletes 6-14% is healthy, but keep in mind that 6% are those who look really really skinny. For normal people, even if you work out, 15% is pretty good already.
