dial-up(long long time ago), after that ADSL(around the release of RTCW)

2002 modem

now 8mb/1mb

first was dial-up, dunno when, then 1mb/256kb, and now 10mb/1mb

28k dialup -> 512/64k adsl -> 20/3mbit cable

Guess nothing much has really changed for the polish people in here..

My family got internet so early that I dont remember exactly. I didnt care about internet before, you know, I was playing single-player games and didnt think about porn.. Anyway, it was modem on which I would pay like 1000e per one pornpage..
Btw.my family got internet as one of the first in czech republic..

When i was 6 years old, i got my first internet connection. It really sucked donkeyballs :D We had to pay for hours of using. There was telephone socket, so we had to put there cable to run internet :D. Now i got kinda shitty connection (wireless), i'd have better connection fo sho, but we moved to new house, which is situated on new housing estate, so no telephone line here :s Only wireless available :/

6 or 7 years ago, I remember it was gmx and it was like 256kb/s / 20kb/s or something, but dsl. and it was limited to 4gb/month download, after that you had to pay extra. a lot.

2001 or smth, dial-up. When my brother was on the internet we weren't able to use the telephone :D:D

My first internet was actually a 56 k modem, dial up connection.

dunno year, but it was 768 kbit/s, than:
1mbit, 2mbits and 2 days ago with new contract 6mbits :D

I had 14,4k dialup, don't remember the year but I know it's around the time the first Syndicate game was published. Must've been around 94/95. Then off to 33,6k modem, to one channel isdn, two channel isdn, 8/1Mbit ADSL and now 10/10 VDSL.

We actually had a set-top box thing which allowed us to get onto the internet for 1p a minute, and came with a shitty mini-keyboard. My mam used to count and I was only allowed to go on for an hour a day.

I remember I hadn't even known about the internet until I switched school, and I had to be shown how to use it. That was back in 2000. I started to get into computers fairly quickly after that, and saved up and bought my own from my paper round. Bought a second-hand Apple Mac, and then a second-hand PC. I got onto the internet - dial-up, obviously - with that PC and it was a few more years before our area got upgraded to broadband.

At home I'm not sure what I am on, speed-wise, but at university I've got my own 10mb connection.

2002 a 55k modem and later 2004 a 8mb ISDN-connection! 2002-2004 I used it only for browsing websites, not for gaming :p

28.8 dial up modem, dunno which year it was, something around 2001 i think. i started ET by playing the demo version on a 56K modem, then when i joined a clan that wasn't enough so i bought isdn.

hahaha, now i remembered something. then we started using comms, and we always had to have 7 players for a 6v6 match. the 7th would run a TS server on ISDN using both lines :D (that would be 128k)

I believe it was 28,8 around 1996 but didn't really use the internets back then. It wasn't until 2003 when I got ADSL 512/512.
