If you bought it you should patch it since it fixes graphical errors. You should try older drivers and see if the problem fixes itself else you're kinda screwed..

some antialiasing stuff maybe? or this zbuffer shit?
Antialiasing off.

try turning on, like 2x, had some weird stuff in cod4 sp when I didnt have it turned on and I scoped it would go similair to screens.

also had weird sky issues in crysis, updated to SP3 (had to, for gtaIV) and have no issues with the sky now - that could help perhaps.

Graphical corruption is usually caused by a conflict with the video card or other display settings in the system. Some third party Microsoft Windows enhancement programs (such as WindowBlinds) may affect your game. Please restore your desktop and exit this application. If the issue continues, consider uninstalling the product and ensure Windows will load the default desktop settings.

Overheating?
Had the same problem with my HD4850 in Armed Assault.
I don't think it's an overheating issue as I monitored my card and it did not go over 50°C at any time.
-checked gpu temps? what are they?
-whats ur psu?
-is it in any game?
-did you play any demanding games lately?
