who is right???

I'm bored so let's discuss some pointless shit.

Is the following pic offside or not?
I say it isn't offside but ben1980 say it is.

f3 to go medic
jij weet niet eens wat buitenspel is man XD

ask women they basically know offside rule better than men

f2, if you draw line which is in same direction with the ball you can see that scoring player is behind it. Case closed.
f3, ready up!
his head is offside, but his body isn't
f2, no offside
f1
a player is offside if one of his members (head, shoulders, etc) is closer to the goal of the opponents than the ball.
F2 I wouldn't call that, but then again I'd probably be the worst ref eva.
F2, the guy is behind the ball line so no offside
depends if the picture is at the right moment
normally a ref shouldn't judge this as offside, since it's highly doubtful that it is offside, in that case he should decide in favor of the attacking team.
f2 cause both white players are next to the keeper
I'd say f2 but can't be totally sure
f1! even if his feets are behind the ball-line, his head and shoulders arn't.. so offsider.
/closed
which one of them scored the goal?
f2 in such situation refree is able to let them play.
No, he is behind the ball
lol that line is totally wrong :DDDDDDDDD and besides that if the head is infront of the line (like on the pic) it would have been offside

buh, who cares

WHO IS LEFT?

IF u follow the rules @ 100% he is offside because "1" is offside
no matter if "2" isn't since "1" is offside (any body member being offside means: OFFSIDE (arms not included)

IF u wan't to be chill u let game play one and use the number "2" to say he was not.
BUT: FIFA RULEZ>your rulez so if u wan't to be intolerant: OFFSIDE.
lol you can't just draw a vertical line. You have to incalculate the angel and so the line have to go a bit to the right.

Besides, you only have to look at his head. His head is the furthest away so you only have to look at that.

no the ball-line has to be parallel with the traced lines, nothing about angles...
2nd, head, shoulders, etc are offside, so clearly OFFside, don't try to beat me on that kind if things :p (i studied for ref ;)
Parent
Yes, shoulders, head are offside. Because the head is the furthest part of his body you only have to check if his head is offside or not.

Quoteno the ball-line has to be parallel with the traced lines, nothing about angles...

Yes it has to be parrallel in reality but not on a picture because you don't take into consideration the height, angel, distance, etc... so no you can't just draw lines like that.

Check the image below. You see that the lines on the left side of the pic go a bit to the left, they are not 180° vertical. Same for the lines on the right side, they go a bit to the right. It's like some sort of mirror where the line just infront of you 0° is the middle line. Lines that are left of it go autmatically to the left and vice versa.
So you can't just draw lines like you did because of the angel.

Maybe you studied for ref but it seems you didn't pass :)
ah well its more maths then anything else actually:)

i would say f1 :o
f2 f2 (cancel vote)
f1, if it's like in other sports they measure it at chest height, not from leg

its offside, since the body is behind the ball

but well...don't blame the referee....its really hard to make a descision there...

and they were tought to decide for the attacker if they arnt sure....btw
When his head is infront of the line its offside too so thats already 1 Mistake.

The 2nd mistake is that you just draw vertical lines without looking at the angel where the pic is taken so your lines are wrong too. You can't just draw parallel lines next to the left ones because the angel changes so you have to draw the lines more to the right

You only have to look to the head of the 2nd white guy. Because his head is 2meters above the ground you have to draw a vertical line from his head to the ground and draw the line from that point.

about the lines: In reality they are parrallel but on the pic they are not so your lines are wrong. The left lines go to the left while the right lines go to the right.

I think I'm right here :)
f1 !!!!!!!!!!
ok so let's accept the fact maybe there is smth what could change with the "angle"
well as i'll show u here angle ore not he is offside.

image: fazagol1

i reproduced very basicly the angle with collateral lines... wich means, the distance between ball and line ore foot and line are equal from up to down..
i didn't use some oblique lines since they could be some "angle' problems.
NOTE: the distance between each point/line is equal!
Wrong again.

You see that the pic is taken left from the ball so it's impossible (maths!!) that the light green line goes to the left. It has to go to the right (the lowest stripes should be to the right) because of the position where the pic is taken.
Parent
No man, head and shoulders are offside so THIS IS ENOUGH FOR THE REF TO SAY ITS OFFSIDE.
and for your info; passed my theorical exam with 356/370 and my practical 16.5/20 so i think i passed...
ur wrong stop discussing about angles my lines were concordal with the angle of the taken pic + lines..
this is offside /closed
i'll not respond anymore if u write back since you got your opinion (wich is wrong) and i got mine (wich is right)

QuoteIn 2005 The International Football Association Board agreed a new decision in Law 11 that being "nearer to an opponent's goal line" meant that "any part of his head, body or feet is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent. The arms are not included in this definition."[1] This is taken to mean that any part of the attacking player named in this Decision 2 has to be past the part of the second last defender closest to his goal line (excluding the arms) and past the part of the ball closest to the defenders' goal line.
