Optic or laser ?

I have a Logitech G5 but she's completly dead :(
So I just want to know your opinion about which mouse is the best: Optical or laser mouse and why ?
If you can give me some idea too it could be nice

optical , had 3-4 lasers never felt "right" , also optical slides smoother
you gotta test those mice yourself

With the G5 which is a laser mouse I feel like the cursor is gripping :s I don't know how to explain it but it strange :p That's what you're talking about with your 3-4 laser's mouse ??
