We'd love to give you the opportunity to win some prizes in an online competition on Crossfire. Until now, we didn't receive any positive answer but we will keep trying.

Crossfire and GamesTV.org will be teaming up once again to provide coverage including all the hottest news on the competition every day.

- Matches will be played using the European 6v6 Config.
- Anyone serving a cheating related ban from Crossfire is not welcome in Crossfire competitions. This also includes players banned for multiple accounts. For any hints, message an admin via irc. If any player will be find with a multi account, your team will be removed from the cup. If you have more than one account contact an admin to remove your unused one.
Map list Bremen, Delivery, Goldrush, Radar, Supply & TBA There will be atleast one cup running different maps, including frostbite, adlernest, oasis, warbell and maps alike.
- There willl be one match each week
- Every team has two wildcards to use during the groupstage
- Each group will consist of at least 6, and a maximum of 8 teams.
- Each team can pick every map twice during the groupstage
- Other than that, rules used on the CC6 will be used, those will be republished asap for public read.
- Rule violation will result in a default loss
- Crossfire reserves the right to broadcast any Premier League match
- Send a PM for any feedback, questions or proposals before and during the cup

- Include the map you want to have as 6th
- Use "Crossfire League" as title, otherwise your team might get lost

That is actually my perfect map list atm: Bremen, supply, radar, delivery and goldrush. And it's nice that a new map is announced because I think it's the right moment to add a new interesting map to make everything a bit fresher and new because ET needs it.

thats fine :o it's not like this tournament will take ages :< nc hasn't started, so its atleast 6 weeks before you announce it, like last season - probalby atleast 9 weeks until your cup starts - therefore, far enough time to come down from 64 or more teams to 8 or 16 for playoffs ;)

I'd still prefer ESL config cause they removed MG but forcing maxpackets to 100 is one of the best thing CB ever did.

I know people playing with 125 or 76 fps aren't playing with 100 maxpackets but at least you are removing the packetlaming where ppl could play 30 maxpackets @ 125fps if they put mp to 60.

125 fps / 2 = 63 maxpackets
63 > 60 => 60/2 = 30 maxpackets

you should go trough some old server logs and there's plenty of fags out there who got binds changing maxpackets whenever they strafe

Imho its the same story as com_maxfps IN [40-125]. Ofc you arent fixing the bug, but at least you make abusing it a lot harder :)

ye true, but i fcking hate that 100maxpackets 25000 rate cb forces. Somehow i get constant lag with it, while i get a reasonable ping with lower maxpackets and lower rate.

Would u rather play a guy with 100maxpackets 25000 rate and 250ping or some1 with like 20000 rate 76 maxpackets and 45ping :/

There is no way in heaven, nor on hell, that lowering your maxpackets will lower your ping unless you are surfing on a 128/128 isdn line ...

If theres one decisive factor which does influence your ping its your upload speed. If you flood your upload you'll get shit ping. I can download a torrent at 1mb/s without having lags nor high ping. As long as i cap the upload and leave about 10kb/s for ET its all fine. ET only uses 5 kb/s upload anyways ...

Ever played on those 45000 rate servers? If i play there, i lag out all the time. Dno about maxpackets or rate seperatly, but the combination of both makes me lag less.

Ever since they updated that config, my lag has increased dramatically. Im not saying it lowers my ping, im saying it reduces lagouts and lets me play longer with a decent ping without overloading my connection somehow.

cuz being able to play with a 20 000 rate is minor annoyance for ppl with good connection, but a big help for ppl with worse connection. I agree on the maxpackets though, those binds are fcking lame. But claiming that playing against a guy with 20 000 rate is going to change your game dramatically and gives him a huge advantage sounds more like your cg_placebo 1 to me.

I used to be as radical in it as you, but lately i started lagging more and more.

My inet might be not as great and awesome as yours, but im not paying for it. And since its only 20euros a month for 4 pcs, my dad is loving it.
