With the 3 decisive qualifiers have being played over the past week (well actually 2) the final team list for this season's NationsCup is complete. Including Norway

Addition Info:

The Cup will be run in 8 Groups consisting of 4 Nations each, Top 2 will advance to the playoffs
Playoffs will most probably be Double Elimination
In order to make it easier to find wars, were your opponent is playing the same maps, we have decided to use the CIEC Maplist with the addition of the 6th map, adlernest
Week 1: Frostbite & Supply ; Week 2: Radar & Braundorf_b4 ; Week 3: adlernest & sw_Goldrush_te (same as CIEC, except adlernest).
First matchweek starts from today 28th January to 4th February, second matchweek will be from 4-11 February and third from 11-18 February.
Matches without a challenge will be forced around every saturday night to Sunday 21:00 CET, if both teams agree upon a date after the forced time, make sure to pm a supervisor to change it.
1 Wildcard can be used during the groupstage, there are no wildcards for playoffs.
The Groups have been manually selected by Anaconda, Rayzed and Killerboy, Homer revised them aswell to make sure there are no obvious group of deaths.
Captains must join the #nationscup channel, it will be much easier for us and yourself to contact your opponents

I started making groups without checking out last season, because this season we had to go with 8 groups of 4 teams and not x groups of 6.

I am sorry that you have 2 same nations again in your group, but i can assure you i really created the groups RANDOMLY and making sure that lag teams were in 1 group rather than devided over other groups + making sure that the top teams were not in one group :)

It is clear that CB expect (under these conditions) for Canada and US to win their respective matches. Hence when they then play play-off matches they will play on EU servers as per NC of times past.

Japan can play on any server (ofc they prefer US) because they back themselves even with 300 ping. They can play on a New York based server though which makes it better for them (approx 200/250) and better for EU teams (approx 100/150).

Also the logistics for arranging matches will be interesting with the -14hr time zone difference. At least with EU teams we can play late evening (apprx 11pm) on any day of the week. Against American nations its like -14hrs time difference which leaves us with like 4 to 6pm on a Sunday afternoon (saturday evening for the Americas) as the only remotely suitable time/day. I think last year we had a prac with Canada at like 6am their local time.

Still searching for a server in Hawaii though ...

We have a US west coast server, waiting for CB to approve it for use (even though Japan used it last year for almost all of their matches. We changed the location to New York a few times to allow EU teams to ping 100/150)

We ping 200, US will ping 50 to 100 (100 from east coast), Canada will ping 100/150 and Chile will ping 200 as well.
