I am pleased to announce NationsCup 3on3 tournament. With 32 teams clashing against each other in the main tournament, we hope that this cup will bring a lot of entertainment and a vast amount of interesting and close games. This is the first 3on3 NationsCup since a long time therefore we hope for a plenty amount of signups and a lot of interest shown from players and community.
Cup formula
32 teams will proceed to the groupstage after qualifiers. 8 groups with 4 teams each one, will be created. Best 2 will pass through and will create a double-elimination knock-out phase. In the Grand Final, a team coming from loser bracket needs to win twice to win the tournament.
Qualifiers
There will be 18 qualifiers trees. Polish, Finnish, Belgian, Dutch, German, Estonian, French, British, America's, Italian, Spanish, Croatian, Hungarian, Swedish, Israeli, Czech Republic's, Rest of Europe's, Rest of World's. Each qualifier will consist of maximum 16 teams. If we receive less than 16 signups for a qualifier, some of the teams participating won't need to play the beginning matchweek(s). If we receive more than 16 signups for a qualifier, we will choose which teams we will invite to qualifiers. Qualifiers will take place in single-elimination formula.
From qualifiers: Rest of Europe's the best 3 teams will proceed to the groupstage.
From qualifiers: Polish, Finnish, Belgian, Dutch, German, Estonian, French, British, America's the best 2 teams will proceed to the groupstage.
From qualifiers: Italian, Spanish, Croatian, Hungarian, Swedish, Israeli, Czech Republic's, Rest of World's the best team will proceed to the groupstage.
The remaining 3 spots will be found from additional qualifiers:
3rd team from Polish qualifier - 3rd team from German qualifier
3rd team from Dutch qualifier - 3rd team from Belgian qualifier
3rd team from Finnish qualifier - 3rd team from Estonian qualifier
Rules in general
- You are supposed to have a document proving your nationality and show the scan of it if supervisors request for it. Supervisors have got the rights to ask for any other thing confirming your identity.
- You are supposed to upload your SLAC guid at your clanbase account.
- SLAC is a requirement - all players and referees are suppose to use it.
- Teams are allowed to have max. 1 spectator on the server if opponent and referee agrees. Spectator should also use SLAC and should be wearing his team's tag and his CB nickname.
- All captains/clanleaders of their teams are required to be on #nationscup.3on3 channel.
Creating teams
You are supposed to create a clanbase account for your team with minimum 4 players and maximum 6 players. All players have to be from the same nationality.
You cannot pick a clanname related to a nation and the tournament (eg. names like Polska, Team-Finland are not allowed). After the qualifiers, teams that made it to the groupstage, will be asked to rename their account. (eg team that win Belgian qualifiers will be asked to rename clanname into Team-Belgium #1). Breaking this rule will result in excluding a team from the tournament.
Switching teams
It is not allowed to play for another team in Qualifiers. It is not allowed to play for another team in the Groupstage and in playoffs. If a team is playing in the groupstage or in playoffs already, it is allowed to take maximum 1 player from the team that did not qualify for the main tournament (lost qualifiers).
Signups
NationsCup 3on3 will take place as CB hosted tournament. You will be given details where to signup as soon as possible. Deadline for signups is till 30 Nov 23.59 CET. So please start creating your clanbase team's accounts, while you will be able to hit the signup button in next few days.

To America's qualifiers belong such countries like USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil etc.
Rest of Europe =all of countries that does not have an own qualifier (eg. Latvia,Russia, Portugal, Norway, Slovakia, Iceland etc.)
Rest of the World = not mentioned in other groups (eg. Japan, Australia)

About the 1st thing, well.. i remember CF 3V3 WorldCup and it's ridiculous to see some countries playing with 0 players residing at their own countries (ex: russia with all players living at germany... lol... like i said, exceptions could be created, but we are talking about a entire country.. you gonna tell me there isn't enough players living at their own country? same goes to those "weird countries" with only 1 player living there... recruting players at cf... what about loekino's love island? are they allowed? :DDD

Besides you're whining about the Russian team having lots of people from Germany while i don't think anyone doubts those players actually have russian roots. It is a nationscup which is about nationality, not country of residence.

Although you shouldnt have problem with teamwork, but you will lack good tactics on base in 3o3 for sure.

one of the most retarded maps around, worse than delivery
5 years ago almost all current maps were played in a different way and in different style
that defense holds anyone, it's the easiest and most retarded map on defense, you just need to camp one tiny part of the map to succeed
And they worked, we beat easily way more skilled teams than us on base, but got raped hard on other maps for example.
it's just funny how I used to hate all the rtcw maps for ET back in the day but now I actually miss them :)

Problem is that good teams know when they're getting weak so they just hold a new shield at radar and in that switch they also get ammo refill for atleast 1

base is a one-spot-camp map with too long to get to obj
beach sux with mg and you can also spend 90% of the map camping at one spot
ice too long to get to obj again and you can also spend 90% of the map camping at one spot
frostbite you can get to final obj without doing any of the previous ones and you can also spend 90% of the map camping at one spot
escape and ufo are not that bad as the other maps actually
on frostbite, you build cp and go for the docs and you also don't have to do any previous obj to be able to get to the docs
but nevertheless I prefer the maps you don't like ;)

I made tournaments, because it was good opportunity to get known to people, make friendships, proove yourself. Think it was succesfull, because only few people couldn't have fun (mostly the losers ) and I always got to know some new people, even $ectoR greet me on a LAN later.
I played in Team-Hungary, because that trash kicked the one of the best .hu player ever, I writing about LOGIC. I replaced him. You can blame me because of the clan's undescribeable shit performance, but thats just not true, same with underscore, I was serious, exact and motivated, put'ed everything into it and tried to whine less.
I was mad only that time when You gave the command to go inside a base, or rush and half of the team, but atleast powi&ocelot never did.

I am a good player, but have to hear the voice of a leader in the team otherwise I don't focus, thats my only problem. Respected players said I can compete against anyone in this scene, not gonna name anyone or give jpg, because I never make and I am not a wannabe to post egoquotes...
Hungarian teams need you, underscore and the national team aswell, you ve been a trash (lolcantprove) cheater, but became a good player, thats a fact, anyway if your personality a little bit irritating. BUT I wasen't the right player to remove from underscore back then, to make an empty place for you.

i dont play clanned now, just every now and again, ive got different and right priorities now so i won't be playing competitively till at least another lan gets announced. at this moment in time ive got too much on my plate to handle so nc isnt even close to that list

braundorf and frostbite are definitely not very good maps but they're better than the maps mentioned above.. perhaps go for a 'new' map, something with a lot of stages. If there are any good ones out there that is, ufo seemed pretty bad.
perhaps a bit large, a lot of routes to take it seems like but it's nice with a lot of open space, unlike delivery it favours good aiming and movement which is a lot what 3on3 is about.
document carrying maps are good for the viewers but there shouldn't be too many of them in the mappool imo. I wouldn't mind trying out stalingrad. Could end up being horrible but I honestly rather have that happen than playing delivery or smth :p

I mean if they choose it for the mappool it's fine, it's a widely played map and It's not completly luckbased or anything, it's just an overall boring map to play. I've played it in a bunch of tourneys already, I just think there should be better options.
Like I said, braundorf is not AS boring, and there's also the option to try out some 'new' maps. I agree with you that people are too lazy to try something new, including me :D
but if you put it in a tournament like this one people will be forced to play it.
it's also close combat all the time, only the first stage offer a bit more space and terrain.. means you can't do that kind of damagewhoring from distance and the whole map is facility -like but is that necessarily bad? of course some people like outdoor maps which offer different terrain whereas delivery is simple and monotonic, it comes to the matter of opinion. atleast delivery is different and that's one feature i like! there isnt too much variables in ET is there? :P
again i have to disagree with you with "awards camping" :( im an aggressive type of player but once i started playing deli in 3on3 i might have started off with a campy playing style. i might have pulled off some duels but it absolutely wasnt an effective way to defend the button. nades played keyrole in such defense because the reviveshield is kinda effective on the doorways. it just didnt work out at all, the camping. then, i played the map for dozens of hours and learned that aggressive defense at the office is absolutely the best, pushing out a lot.. every once in a while there's a spawn when you need to go to the controls but its absolutely the last resort and never feels comfortable :D tldr passive defense fails, aggressive is kind of defense that works out. although i dont know if there are some nade-heroes who pull of the passive camp :L
all this is about 3v3, deli is shit in 5v5 what ive played i wont talk about 5v5
it's an opinion if it's boring or not cant help it but i consider that as a funny aimer's map with a lot of teamplay :) i even might prefer it over overplayed maps because of the change it offers.. one reason behind my love towards might be that ive played that so much so im rather good at it >_> probably if everybody practiced it as much as ive they would like it much more, too!

might be talking out of my ass when I'm saying it doesn't require a lot of aim, it's just not as fun as maps like supply and goldrush where there's a larger variety in terrain and objectives.. delivery is a bit too straightforward and dull imo :p
but at the end of the day it's a matter of own personal preference, I just don't enjoy playing delivery as much as other maps.. but i'm sure there are quite a bit of people who do.
afterall, ive noticed that quite a few players have started hating supply too! time for new maps hopefully :)
99% of the players cant play supply correctly tbh.
in delivery 3on3 you gotta selfkill for ammo etc. spawntimes are in a very big rool, also a lucky nade can win the game for you. also don't need so much aiming if you lean behind a wall with full stamina. that is pretty much why it doesn't require so much skill.
yea you need to spare ammo or push out and kill, spawntimes are in a role but supply 1st stage is affected by spawntimes pretty much too. nades are one but then it needs a bit thinking and predicting to dodge those and that's what a skilled player does aye? and the nades are one reason to have rather aggro defense than passive. if the opponent defends passively leaning and camping it's the easiest to the attacking team. it's a lot harder if theyre on the move all the time. especially attacking vs good team needs quite a bit of aim and teamplay.. you won't win if you don't have both brain and aim if the opponent is even a bit decent :)
lower skilled teams want to play this map because of this, you don't really need deeper thoughts in delivery. just basic ET, shoot.. don't take full and revive
this is just my opinion of all years I played ET, and don't tell me I didn't play delivery enough, yes I did.. since it was for like 3 lans in a row.
RaZe doesn't seem to be the most honest player around, so you may or may not get the prizes.
