The time has come for the main groups to be drawn for the SAGE Enemy Territory tournament! After a lot of preseeding and seeding games, teams have been neatly put into poules for the upcoming event, which is already fast becoming one the most competitive LAN events Enemy Territory has ever seen with at least 5 or 6 teams feeling like they have a very good chance of winning the event.

Only poule 1 should the order be taken into account, the other poules are in a random order. This Monday, 20th of June, we will be doing a live draw from these poules to determine the LAN groups and potential playoff matchups. You can find all the information on how the groups will affect the playoffs (ie. who plays who after groups!) HERE.

As you can see group finishing position will pre determine who you will face in the playoffs, the only thing that needs to be done is for the groups to be drawn. One team from each poule will be randomly drawn into a group - All fourth poule teams will be drawn, followed by all third poule teams and then lastly by all second poule teams.

How will this random draw happen ?!

take a piece of paper, divide the paper into 12 equal pieces, make 3 groups of 4 pieces, which represent the seeding groups, draw the names of the teams on the pieces corresponding to the seeding groups, put the papers in 3 different glasses, start piccing from seed 3 for group A, seed 2 for group A and so ...

there you go, group drawings based on seeds! :D

It would be really nice if you planned the playoffs tree already (A1 vs B2, A2 vs B1) etc and make it public just to avoid any unnecessary speculations about the playoffs tree.

Nordic informed Seanza before seeding took place, back in may - this is the only reason the switch was allowed.
