Today we are happy to announce the kick off of the annual Crossfire Community Awards. This time we decided to split all the various awards into four different prestigious categories in which you will be able to vote for your favourite nominee! These categories are Crossfire, Esports, Enemy Territory and Class-specific awards.

From tomorrow on we will reveal awards and nominees per category until they are all published at December the 18th. All nominees have been selected by respectively a Crossfire, Esports and an Enemy Territory panel. The official voting period will begin on December the 20th and last until midnight of December the 31st!

If you want to get yourself stoked make sure to check out last years epic posts around the topic, such as: CF Community Awards 2010 Announcement, CFCA 2010 Polls closed and ofcourse the CFCA 2010 Results

This is the entire schedule:

December 15th : First category nominees.
December 16th : Second category nominees.
December 17th : Third category nominees.
December 18th : Fourth category nominees.
December 20th : Voting begins.
December 31st : Midnight, polls close for all awards.
January 8th : Announcement of the Winners for the first category.
January 9th : Announcement of the Winners for the second category.
January 10th : Announcement of the Winners for the third category.
January 11th : Announcement of the Winners for the fourth category.

Crossfire.nu is the gaming community for Enemy Territory.

well, there is basic problem with defining what newcomer means and how exactly you would "measure" his improvement. Unless some group of ppl would keep track on every player regardless of his/her skill (which is almost impossible), there can not be even remotely objective voting/nominating

even this doesnt make any sense. this vote is basically about which fairly "unknown" player, has drawn the most attention from the "known" community, onto himself by playing decent against decent opponent. and this mostly just happens, if those guys join a good team, or evolve with their team - eventhough they have been individually on the same level before.
you can rather call it "asslick" award
