Backstage at the EC Qualifiers

image: ecxvi_logo_small
I remember an article by United Kingdom Tosspot a while back in which he mentioned than one of the major issues with ET is lack of coverage and we can certainly say that Clanbase has never really be very proactive when it comes to media involvement in its premier Eurocup competition. This is an issue, with a lot of people claiming ET is dying one of the best ways to combat that is to educate people on the new teams and by keeping the interest alive so i will try to improve that by talking to the players both before and after their games through this Eurocup season starting off with the qualifiers.

EC: First Qualifier Matches

image: ecxvi_logo_small

Tomorrow we'll see the first action in this upcoming EuroCup XVI.
The first match will be played between Finland Negative Image and Poland Overdose-Gaming. It's the first time for ovs to play an qualifier and it's not an easy task to defeat the third placed team in EuroCup XII, altough only 3 players are left of this team. There "new" lineup has improved, there all from the same country which has alot of benefits.

ET: Quake Wars hits steam!

It has been rumours that ET: QW would appear on steam after ID earlier added their whole game collection (except q4?) and the ET: QW demo being available as well. And now it's confirmed. The price is $54.95, witch isn't much with today's record low dollar. The game will be available through steam in Europe on the 5th of October, but you can already preorder.

"We're excited to announce that Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is joining the rest of id Software's line-up on Steam! The game is available for pre-purchase effective immediately and will be unlocked for play on October 5 in Europe and October 9 in the United States. While you're over there, don't forget to join the Official Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Steam Group - humanity is counting on you!"

*Spotlight Match*
Pelit vs Speedlink, these two teams meeting in such an early stage is offcourse very intresting. Will the finnish powerhouse continu their succes that they had in the i3d cup or will Speedlink show that joining a mgc gives a boost ? My money goes to Pelit and yours ?
