One soldier face Verdiend in the RTCW final, after the shock defeat of KiH the competition has been thrown wide open and could go either way...

image: onesoldierLimage: wL3image: wR1image: verdiendR

Update: one.soldier are crowned RTCW Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge Champions

Impact gaming face Dignitas in the second winners bracket semi final, which should be an interesting match with neither team been living up to their potential but leaves us with some questions such as, is a mix of big name players enough to topple the dominating force in ET for the last year? Will Dignitas regain their form in the important stages of the tournament?

Both teams should have a lot more to give based on previous experience ...or is it time for a new star in the Enemy Territory universe?

The second, running simultaneously sees pre-tournament joint favourites TLR take on k1ck. Both matches are currently live.

Match #1
image: dignitasLimage: cL1image: cR0image: adocomR
Map: TBA

After United Kingdom dignitas struggled in their first match against Finland logitech yesterday, they need a two wins now to continue to the playoffs, otherwise this group will be the closest. Germany Adocom, known as the former dSlash team has to prove the worth of their recived LAN support by attending the CPC instead of the Summit in Germany. With the draw against Finland Logitech their door is still wide open to get a spot into the playoffs but did this mean they are strong enough to face United Kingdom dignitas?

Match #2
image: editLimage: cL0image: cR1image: esubaR
Map: TBA

A first deciding match for Czech Republic eSuba. After beating the SHGopen Champs Netherlands serious gaming yesterday on the new map valente, they don't have a save way into the playoffs even if they deserved it. This match can be their first step on the top of the group and to make a save jump in the first round of the upcoming single elimination bracket. Czech Republic eSuba is worth playing it and has a lot of potential as they showed on diffrent events and EuroCups already. Netherlands EDiT is a new face finished top 3 at the NetGamez. They have nearly lost all their chances to reach the playoffs loosing against Sweden oxid and Netherlands serious yesterday, rank 3 or 4 for them?

Where are the ET Matches?
The schedule for ET matches are delayed due to the RTCW tourney at the moment. The delay is about 2 hours now. For recent schedules check the GamesTV.org Times within your timezone.

Match #3
image: esubaLimage: cL1image: cR0image: oxidR
Map: TBA

Czech Republic eSuba needs the win to make their way into the playoffs save. After the czech team won against United Kingdom Dignitas on vallente yesterday, these two teams will decide who will progress. While Netherlands EDiT is without chances but still playing as well, currently against eSuba ofcourse, it's all on the swedes from Sweden oxid. After a loss against Netherlands serious but aswell a clear win against Netherlands EDiT, it can be close - may the allmighty CoD2 god tell us what will happen - (hopefully) together with the livestreams powered by iTG and QuadV.

image: zerobarrierLimage: eL2image: eR2image: onesoldierR
Maps: Bremen, Frostbite
Shoutcast: AVI - tune in Radio iTG / QuadV

A deciding game - atleast for zeroPoint who are not playing in here but who will hope to see zerobarrier win against one.soldier to get the last small chance to join the playoffs. The realy great gameplay in their last matches made zerobarrier one of the top in this tourney for now while one.soldier as second favorite next to zP! needs the win or a draw to save their second place. Who's going to pass in the playoffs in group c?

image: impactLimage: eL2image: eR4image: polarR
Maps: Supply, Radar, Frostbite (Decider)
ETTV: GamesTV

While both teams have already qualified for the playoffs, they will fight each other for the top spot. Impact played a tight game against Auxilia coming out as winner and are now preparing to face off with polar - the 3rd of the PGS. Who will continue his winning spree? Make sure you tune in.

A community Q&A with Splash Damage

image: headergooglewi3

Planet Quake has had an interesting conversation with the people from Splash Damage about their upcoming game Enemy Territory Quake Wars. Some interesting topics include:

• QWTV
• Modding / Mapping
• In-game community features
and more

Read the interview at http://planetquake.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Articles.Detail&id=825

QuoteHow well is spectating, for TV/broadcasting coverage supported in ETQW? Does ETQW have something similar to Half-Life TV, that can allow a massive amount of spectators? Is there any support for match-recordings, so teams can analyze their performances in tournaments, and others can replay them?
We’ve been working with Christopher Lays ('zinx') on integrating the TV code. This features an unlimited number of broadcast relays and broadcast to a lot of spectating clients (providing there are enough relays to support the load).
The demo-recording functionality in ETQW is pretty advanced, allowing both client-side and server side recording, so that a match can be replayed from any perspective. This feature may be unsupported at release (depending on other gameplay priorities), but it’s our goal that it’ll be superior in functionality to that of competing games once complete.

In the first match right now the underdogs formerly known as vib playing under the flag of Europe el vigorz now are fighting Sweden zeroPoint. Due to passport issues with Sweden Fette yesterday, zP had to draft in the last minute replacement of Germany shy. He'll be deputising for the weekend. Both team will try to prove they're lan worthy, lets see who will come out on top.

Update: zeroPoint full hold bremen with relative ease. vigorz are on the attack.

Unexpected - Thats how we call it when Estonia Dignitas is on the way owning on LANs. But as the PGA qualifier showed in 5on5, Dignitas is not as strong as they could be without one of their major players Estonia Night. In their first group match dignitas has to prove themself facing Europe k1ck, the former pingwins, to prove their ability with the replacement Ireland sol. k1ck on the other hand will be able to show their No-Lag-Skills and are able to get kicked off without connection issues this time.

If the dutch sided Netherlands serious gaming is up to the business as SHG Open winner with their new player kasparov is something this match will show. The czech underdog of Czech Republic eSuba will try their best to stay a chance and proving their LAN worthy again. While serious goes in the first CoD2 match as favorite, this will show some hot actions for sure.

The ET Tourney will come up with it's first important clash with the international mixed team United Kingdom one.soldier including names as overboost and the stars including butchji, gifty and potter for Sweden zeroPoint. It's the first time one.soldier is in hot action and we will see some hot shots for sure from both of these teams, but is a winner already decided or not? Hopefully both teams will make a hot clash on ETTV.

The CoD2 Matches
With currently 2 matches up and running the CoD2 groupstage is delayed by 1 hour.
Update: Dear Unexpected CoD2 LANs, I've a new line for your book right after eSuba faced serious gaming and took the win home with a 13:08.

Mystic - The one and only - playing with Impact in their first match. We urge you to get an ETTV spot as fast as you can! The mystics fanboys are plenty. Blink and you'll miss it.
Just seconds left before you can see the turkey and russian power of Auxilia facing one of the last surviving true dream teams. Is impact strong enough to compete on the CPC against the fairly known internetstars and posers from Auxilia?! The odds are clearly set and every mystic fan will just increase the gap in possible money earned between these teams. Still we don't have a winner yet and the match will come up within just 50 minutes.

Match #6
image: dignitasLimage: cL0image: cR1image: logitechR

Livestream: http://www.crossfire.nu

While Netherlands serious gaming as top seed struggled a little bit in their first match United Kingdom dignitas has to prove their favorite position with winning against the ambitious fins of Finland Logitech.fi. The match itself should be very close and including the hottest CoD2 action with two top teams.

Match #7
Live with a voice stream right off from the LAN TosspoT and Redeye will cast this - somehow - so called thriller between the deep underdog Europe octane and Estonia dignitas. The match will be casted on ETTV ofcourse and you can tune in right on GamesTV.

Important Reminders (updated)

To all participating teams a few very important reminders:

Following's Bullvox and Ronner's (serious and funny) checklist, here is a quick reminder of what you should bring beside the obvious:

1. Make it identifiable that it is yours on the outside. (a sticker for example)
2. Put a password on it.
3. If you have a laptoplock, bring it just to be safe.
4. If you need internet access, either ask evo POLITELY if you can join his wireless access point or bring a UDP cable of at least 10 meters.

Passport (It is mandatory in the Netherlands to have it with you at all times)
Travel and health insurance cards
Good humor ofc.

Up until this time, we have received the phone numbers from only three teams (Auxilia, Verdiend, Dignitas). Please notify whoever is in charge to send us their contact information ASAP. Mail them to tosspot at gmail dot com and cash at clanbase dot com please.

For those that are bringing their own systems, such as laptops for coverage purposes. Please also bring an UDP cable (regular LAN cable) with you that is at least 10 meters and preferably close to 15 meters. We will be very short on wiring, so that is something that we cannot provide you with.

Last, but probably most important. Please uninstall en reinstall your gaming hardware a few times to find out the proper working order, so you know how to install your stuff swiftly. It will reduce the stress for you to be ready in time and it gives you some decent warmup minutes.

We are also still looking for someone who would be able to transport 3 monitors (2 crt and 1 tft) and a shuttle pc from Amsterdam on thursday or in worst case scenario friday morning. We will compensate for gas and perhaps the invested time.

See you all in Enschede!

Intel Core 2 Extreme Groups

image: 468x60

With all eyes moving from i30 to CPC we must not forget about the Intel Core 2 Extreme Challenge. The groups for this competition have now been released and we see the likes of Dignitas, Reason and uMu taking on a number of UK challengers looking to cause an upset or two.

Group Listings: here

Games start on Thursday 12th April with coverage provided by RadioITG so stay tuned for full fixtures and broadcast details.

You can also read the Intel C2E pro panel's views on the groups, including those of Gotfrag and Crossfire's Liam "crow" Crowley, on the tournament website here.

CPC 2 Starts Tonight

image: CPC2BAN
Tonight the most important event of 2007 kicks off, the now inaugural Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge. Due to massive time constraints in Enschede seed 1 and seed 4 of each group will play each other online.

The first match sees minions Denmark clan ALIS take on CPC #1 champions United Kingdom Team Dignitas. ALIS were drafted in as a last minute replcement to suXus. Though they profess they're simply attending for fun, and they've little aspirations of beating Dignitas should they sneak a map tonight that'll set them up perfectly for this weekend - Group B is undoutably the easiest group of the four.

But inevitably the most important factor today sees Night's replacement play his first official for Dignitas. Yes they've yet to announce it, and yes it's the worst kept secret in ET - Ireland sol Mr X plays tonight.

Zaigon by Ultraviolet Productions

image: uvlogokx0

Europe Ultraviolet Productions are proud to present their second official Enemy Territory movie

Zaigon (Mirror from Smireboule) @ Switzerland
Zaigon (Mirror from Fusen) @ US, West Coast
Zaigon (Mirror from Arni) @ Germany

Approaching our city steps a lengthy 224 days after our previous release - one4one Decimated - this is the first and very long awaited movie by Germany Hannes 'hannes' Anders since he joined our crew back in September 2006. To see his previous movie, you can check it out here - Heroine.

image: zaigon2Back in July 2006, Germany hannes started searching for frags for an Enemy Territory Community Fragmovie - a concept where demo submission is open to everyone, which is very popular in other games such as Quake, but hasn't really been attempted before in ET with any great success at this level. We here at Europe Ultraviolet Productions hope to have set the benchmark for community movies in ET for the future.
