Ok about the Syko case, and the cvar violation. I ALREADY SAID that it could be a downloaded cfg like in many other cases. When i wrote the thread i havent really looked into it that much.

But about the other busted topics, there has been Multihack kicks & cheat cfg's with matching MD5 signatures...

well this is not about cvars is it? I mean that "loader.cfg" was detected by pb, and i dont think its a bug or anything.

The other bust by this guy was the common ot_logo one.
I think there was a case a while back of someone on CF who got kicked for his config being named the same as a cheat one, I don't know how the results where though.

I have no idea how PB detects these configs, because quite a few are just cvar only, so why dont they get kicked for cvar not config (say for example you delete a few of the cvars in it, it's not going to be the same?)
Maybe bulld0g or someone can shine more light onto this for me \o/

Yes, if you delete something from the actual cheat cfg, rename it, or add something to it the MD5 signature changes.

MD5 Errors mean, that a certain file changes the checksum of the et folder. If that happens, you get kicked for a MD5-Tool Error. True this doesent has to be a cheat, but a file called loader.cfg seems very fishy for me.

I've come across hundreds of people (in Syko's case) who had ot_logo in their config. There's been a few people who hand out (normal) configs with it in and the others fail to look through every command in there.
I'm pretty sure only a very low % end up getting banned for it though.

Sure some unknown players should/would get banned from it, but then I don't think Clanbase has all that time to ban them all, it takes them long enough as it is to ban the current ones -_-

And whats the problem about the .cfg? you can put every cfg file into your etmain folder and it will work. PB doesnt really care where the .cfg is located.

This loader.cfg is a config file for a cheat, MD5 matched + filesize, so he got kicked for it.

Its just a config file for a cheat, ofcourse you can put it in etmain -> then it works for all mods, or you put it mod specific folder.
