Hoi folks,

I'm proud to take on the work on sw_battery_b2.
Next part of our work: showmatches for public viewing (ETTV)!

So of course I need some skilled and maybe known teams!
Finland decem and prolly some other skilled fins gave me the signal, that they want to play this. So I need a skilled opponent for them. Even teams would be very cool. Organised mixed teams are also okay. I think there will be more than 1 showmatch. Keep watching this topic! During the weekend more and more such matches will be take place.

So if you think you can do that, send me a PM with your team name, your lineup, backups and additional info.

from an objective standpoint, it's not the best map in ET

radar is perfection just from how it is built... sure battery is nice but... just the way its structured means it can never be the best map

to attack you have to come through one small corridor... six guys in one small corridor... there isn't room for interesting tactics, there isn't room for diverse gameplay... you push 6 guys through that tunnel and you either all die to spam or you all get in

your view is rather narrow on how battery is played. it requires great deal of teamplay from both teams, not to mention good ingame leader.

I agree with radar, it's somewhat perfection. but I enjoy playing battery more.

battery was our homemap for a long time in ilogik and in vindicated-infensus, i know how it is played, but i dont see how you can ignore the issue of the thin doorway that the allies must attack through...

personally i think the route from the bunker to the axis spawn should be completely revamped/more open to remove the spammable choke :|

its a chokepoint, but its defending's team fault if they are defending too aggressive and failing the defence.

I don't think Battery has ever required any 'traditional' team-play what so ever. It's completely one-dimensional.

The first stage is possibly the worst piece of map design, from a competitive point of view, ever done in ET. The second stage is basically Braundorf but much much worse.

In all these years I think I've played 5 official matches on battery. That wasn't really worth the practice. Somehow all these matches ended in 2 fullholds.

Let's hope for your sake this new battery will be better :)
