So I felt it would a good idea not to go to sleep on Tuesday night because I had to leave at about 5.20 AM to get to the station for my train. What a mistake, oh my god was I tired on the eurostar and then navigating the Paris metro. The fact that Paris is possibly the crime capital of the major cities in Europe didnt help my nerves which were freyed because of how tired I was.
Eventually I found the hotel, hot and sweaty I got in after lugging my suitcase which weighs an ABSOLUTE tonne because of my computer and I get in and just go to sleep! I awaken to find no internet in the hotel because the hotel is just plain shit. After some food myself and Carmac patrol the streets of paris looking for alternatives. "No room at the inn" from most places, but not the Sotfitel which at a staggering 250 Euros a night will take us in, a sum I reluctantly paid!
Now well rested and internet'd up, ReDeYe and I are ready to rock with the camera and whilst there is no English Live coverage from the event, we'll be doing our best to keep GGL.com up to date with videos and news!
Tonight is the opening ceremony and tommorow the real deal gets underway, looking forward to it!
