Got a few decent teams that could suprise us too, like blutSTURZ, EDiT, Cortana, Morrigu, and maybe TAG if they play serious. So yes I think its pretty alive. :D
Unfortunately it could be a temporary thing, I would say they are playing for the money but 30 euros each isn't really worth spending hours playing. Though it could die down again after the cup unless there are more cups like this in the future. But people have been saying about the skilldrop in ET, and I think the teams here suggest its still as high as it used to be. :]

I understand that they can only take 32 teams as there weren't enough signups to fill 64 spots, but I'd like to know the criteria the admins followed concerning the kickouts to reach 32 teams.

There were other nonames that are still in the cup, how do they know that they're all better than us?
I don't want to stack things too high, but I'm sure there are still teams in the Cup that we could have beaten...
But hey, just forget about it, don't want to have a senseless discussion here, we are not in, and it seems as if we have to accept it... it isn't the only cup ton earth ;)

You are right on this one... but
When you receive 30 mails and both (me & hentai) receive +100pms on IRC the day the signups close, it's impossible to do the necessary research and gather all information needed to handle everything objectively. Maybe if we had a bit more time to handle every mail & team with bigger care, we could have some other teams in it.
Now we made a list with all signups. Deleted some clans because there mail was just 1 sentence (TIP: if you want to participate in a cup, read the "how to signup" rules with care)
We selected around 28 clans without doubting and added 4 more after we said our opinion about them.
From those 32, we seeded 16 teams
It's difficult to do good for everyone you know ;) (sorry pepper)
My signup mail contained more information than demanded :P
But anyway, in some way I get your point, maybe you should have opened the signups a bit earlier and also closed it a bit earlier to have enough time to organize everything without being in a hurry ;)
