It's that phrase we've come to know and love by now. There might not be many Eurocup Sundays left (for this competition at least), but that doesn't mean the quality of games is suffering in any way. uQ are lurking in grand final place, awaiting the winner of this, the CB Eurocup Loser's Brkt Final.
The routes to this stage could not have been more different for both idle and gods. Having both been knocked down into the loser's bracket, the old last-chance saloon whispers surely cannot be ignored, and any mistake now could lead to the end of the line. Add to this the prospect of having to win just to play uQ, who have the luxury of having not lost a game and so need to be beaten twice and you start to see the task at hand is no mean feat.
But hang on a second. Doesn't this all look familiar? Remember last season, with U96D and Parodia? You can always refresh your memory. But is a recurrance of this really likely to happen? Well first Idle have to get through, but gods are not likely to make the task by any means an easy one. TosspoT posed the question (well, not the question) to Night of idle:
Controversy
You will probably by now have read that popular Sweedlander feruS has re-joined the idle lineup. Night again:
Only weeks after the anubis farce, Clanbase's Adacore issued a statement to TosspoT regarding the ruling made (on this particular occasion):
Continuing my coverage of the loser's bracket final, I chatted to teKoa (idle) and chammpi (gods) for a short while, to gauge their predictions and responses going into Sunday's game. You can see these two mini-interviews by navigating to the correct article page, or by clicking here for teKoa, and here for chammpi.
You can also see an overview of this and last season, by visiting the appropriate pages.
And no, I had this half done last night before Toss decided to go post his little thing. More coverage is never a bad thing :).
