I'm quite sure you've met them: winners. People who always seem to be successful at what they do, who never lose and where competing against them is a lost cause. Nobody really likes these people. You won't score a girl around them. You'll lose any competition in their company. Only if you're really, really ambitious you'll eventually beat them at some point, but mostly there is an easy solution: Just don't let them take part in anything you do.

Breaking news-
Maps will be Goldrush & Frostbite
It's the final we never dreamt we'd see. The final that most never saw coming. The final that proved dignitas just weren't the same with all their roster changes. And the way it has happened was suprising - with Impact being forced through the loser bracket, we're now left with the enticing prospect of TLR vs Impact as the climactic grand final to this gripping 2nd installment of the Crossfire Challenge.

Like the CoD2 tournament, we might still be in the dying embers of the group stages but still there have been some suprising results coming up, alongside those we all expected. Now however the knockout section is starting to shape up, and barring the final group games, we can have a guess at what is to come as the CPC moves into its second phase.

It may be early afternoon on Saturday in Enschede, but already we're gaining a better idea of which teams are looking likely to go all the way and win the big bucks in the CPC. Whilst some teams have struggled to aclimatise to the heights of a LAN environment, others have prospered regardless of previous experiences. Let's have a look at who is in line to come away with the prizes this weekend.

Here in Enschede the dust has barely settled on day one and day two is not far away from starting. Whilst the RTCW players will get their chance to shine in a five team tournament that prompts memories of the good ol’ days, it will undoubtedly be the shock results of Day one that is foremost in spectators feelings.

As the growth of gaming as a sport grows of course there will be bumps along the road. In the column I hope to explore one of the dangers of attending lans, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage in cash aswell and sentimental damage.
Theifing is becoming rife in the gaming scene with reports almost weekly of expensive technilogical items being stolen from Lans , or in some cases, players being robbed of their wallets.

So today the news broke surrounding cZar ET's transition to the Zerobarrier name, following cZar Gaming's merger with Logitech.fi, leaving their sponsors and players alike bar the warSow side which will make the transition. But this we already knew.

There are many things that can be wrong with a multiplayer game. It can be filled with bugs, it can have a player base that is way too small or it can have awful spectator functionality. There are many other things that can be wrong and some of them apply to Enemy Territory. I did not see many of these things a year ago because I was too involved in the game.
