Hypocrite, anyone?

As I was browsing through the pages of ET Truth yesterday, I stumbled upon a huge amount of comments on the "girls of Crossfire" article. What struck me as odd was that the comments were mostly negative while for all the earlier posts they had all been positive - even though some of them contained personal attacks as well. So I was trying to figure out what exactly it was, and being who I am, I decided to write a column about it.

The missing piece of the puzzle?

Finally hegemony has been dethroned and we actually have a competitive scene, the missing piece of the puzzle? (No not my Quakewars 3rd part, that comes this weekend) But a little thing called school!

Antilag and you!

QuoteKnockback throws your aim off in a way you can't compensate for. Prediction errors are a dime a dozen in ET, it's not a big deal. Yes, they are worse for people with high pings... that's gaming on the Internet for you.

This comment was made by Reya1p in a reply to Madscientist discussing ETpro antilag. As you can see in the quote, ET's has a few weird bugs concerning netcode and knockback.

Here comes Quakewars - Part 2 of the Blog

It was just a week before CPC2 when I got an email inviting Crossfire to attend an Activision and Splash Damage held PR day for ET:Quakewars in Bromley, England. I quickly rethought my travel plans for CPC (yes that meant I was going to be late for my own lan) and headed to 'saaarfff' London.

Teams and the players behind them

ET has come long way since it's release way back in 2003. We have already witnessed many great teams pushing the game forwards and proving old methods weaker than the new ones.

Leave Professional Gaming To The Young Ones

As I returned home from Enschede, I had seen a whole weekend of Enemy Territory that was near perfection. It triggered the urge to play again after I had not seriously touched Enemy Territory for quite some time. After getting raped badly in a 6on6, I decided I would try a public server first. Quickly leaving Telenet behind because I didn't hit a thing, I eventually joined the GMC Todeszone since past experience told me it would be a good place if I needed cheering up. It didn't work out either.

Comment 2: fifth gear engaged

TLR, under their various guises of Team-ND and aMenti have witnessed quite a transformation over the past few months, moving up a gear from EuroCup mid-table obscurity to CPC2 winners, a feat which propels them into one of the favourites slots for this new EC 15 season. But just what is the reason for this refreshing success, and what are the chances of it continuing into the future, as TLR kick off their campaign against Incomplete tonight?

TLR's road to victory !

As I promised yesterday, here is TLR's and mostly mine point of view on Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2! Afterall it was a great tournament I will surely remember for a long, long time, and I'd like to share some parts of with with everyone. So, here we go! Btw I'm sure I'll forget shitloads of stuff, so sorry to everyone I forgot in advance. :>

Day 1 - Thursday

Comment 1: zeroPoint still have a bright future

Another event of significance passes, and another disappointing display from the zeroPoint team. In their brief history, zP have so far only managed to place second in an otherwise lacklustre EuroCup, and second at sHgOpen where they narrowly won against mixteam Black Magic, only to lose to dignitas in the final. For a team with such promise, arguably rooted history in the form of saevus, and a fiercely loyal manager, zeroPoint just aren't delivering the goods.
