The Grand Final of the ESL ET EMS was played by United Kingdom Impact Gaming vs Germany megaProGaming. You can check the GamesTV page here.

We started out on Radar again which United Kingdom Impact already won vs re-play today so megaProGaming needed to come up with a nice performance. But megaProGaming only set a average time on Radar, a map on which they usually do not give away points. When United Kingdom Impact were attacking even a Night like panzerfaust of Clown could only safe them for another minute. United Kingdom Impact then secured the West Parts aswell.

Now it was losers choice again and Germany mPG chose Goldrush. There they performed on their good known level and United Kingdom Impact could not hold them for longer then some minutes. Those minutes were also easily hold by the Germany mPG side and brought us all into a decider map which was to be chosen by United Kingdom Impact Gaming again.

A bit unexpected choice was named by United Kingdom Impact with Braundorf. But still this was going to be a very exciting map. Germany mPG were on the Allies side again and the germans really showed what they are made of. In only 4:02 they took this round from United Kingdom Impact Gaming and everything seemded to be decided. But this would not be Braundorf if anything is still possible.
With this attitude United Kingdom Impact Gaming must have gone into the 6th round of this match as they captured the Flag after approximately 50seconds and were back in business. Germany mPG were pushed back to the bunker controls and United Kingdom Impact Gaming managed to plant 2 dynamites with 45seconds on the clock. Germany mPG didnt have any chance defusing those dynamites so United Kingdom Impact Gaming won the first Grand Final with 4-2 and took Germany mPG into a second match which was played directly after.

This time the first map was to be Supply with Germany mPG starting out on the Allies side. They set a very promising time with 7:54 and now it was time for United Kingdom Impact to beat that. But megaProGaming performed well and hold them until 5:00 at the Flag. They defused several dynamites at the Bunker Gate and saved important time by this. Finally United Kingdom Impact were not able to get into the Depot until 2:12 and by this they lost the map to Germany mPG.

United Kingdom Impact chose to play Radar for the third time today and it was a very comprehensible decision as they won both. Now this was not a big surprise after United Kingdom Impact run through the map with only using 5:02.
This map was not to be lost by United Kingdom Impact Gaming on this evening and we finally went into a 6th map , the 12th round and a 3,5 hour marathon of thrilling W:ET action!

And as if this match could not get any more recurrences we were going to see these two teams in a final showdown, playing Goldrush again. The first time Germany mPG took this map in a very easy way but surely United Kingdom Impact were going to make it a way harder this time.

Basically this was going to turnout very strange. megaProGaming had many problems getting the tank and only got it with 2minutes left and by that not even set a time on the map which they won in only 6:55 about 1hour ago versus the same opponent.
Anyhow this was United Kingdom Impacts chance to finally win this match , defeating Germany mPG a second time in a row after loosing to them in the Winner Bracket some time before this match.

Germany mPG's motivation maybe dropped due to the fullhold of United Kingdom Impact and it did not seem to get any better. United Kingdom Impact rushed through their back defense just when they got the tank after some minutes of good Germany mPG defence. Finally this map & match was going to be finished with United Kingdom Impact Gaming going out on top.

I will finish this Article with some quotes:
QuoteMalta Impact`Toxic:
This ist not a grand final, its an endurance test.

QuoteGermany Impact`sNooP:
It was nice for us to participate in this cup and as you can imagine we are happy with the final rankings. We had alot of fun durring our games I'd say eventho I can only speak about myself at this point. It was well organized and compared to failbase there were atleast a few admins who did a nice job I would say. Afterall I think it was a great tournament for ET and I hope to see some further events by the ESL in the future.

QuoteBelgium 8Bit`Jere:
We were very pleased to be at the last 4, that was a huge achievement for us I think. We have become better and better threw the cup and finishing 4th is more than we hoped at the beginning of the cup. Altough we wanted to be in the top-3 after we placed for final stage, which would mean that we won some prizemoney, we aren' that disappointed with our 4th place. We would like to thank 8bits for the support and esl for organising a great cup!
