CDC3 Invites/Qualifiers

It has been an exciting month since registration opened for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge - and we're happy to report that we've been overwhelmed by both the positive feedback, and the impressive number of signups for all three tournaments. We've players spanning two continents and over 15 nations all eager to compete in what should prove to be an amazing event.

Initially, I can announce that the Qpad Quake 3 CPM 1v1 tournament has been increased from 8 to 12 players. This is thanks to the excellent scheduling skills of Adacore, and the quality of the players signed up. It would be a crime not to accommodate such an excellent field of competitors.

And so it's with great pleasure, and after careful consideration Crossfire can announce the invites for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 3.

Payment for all three tournaments is €50 per player, per tournament. If you are playing in two tournaments you will need to pay entry fee into both. Payment for the tournaments is required by Friday 24th August. Please take neccessary proof of payment should their be delays in bank transferring time. Also be sure to include names of teams and players in the transfer notes for identification.

I can never understand people who find a problem in playing qualifier games when they think they are as good as the invited teams. How hard will it be to win then? Its more fun than playing a pracc. It also makes you an underdog and the invited teams could easily underrate you when its time to play.

*Maybe its just me who prefers to be an underdog that no one belives in rather than beeing the favorite who got nothing to win but everything to loose...

The CDC invite list is done by roughly the same person as the CB invite list, tbh (me). I am a bit out of touch with the ET scene right now though, so a lot of it was done one past reputations and talking to people this time. The reason blutSTURZ weren't given a direct invite was that everyone I talked to said they were inactive and probably dead, so I thought a qualifier would test that...

oh dear, u lost a war in a ladder nobody should care about (according to you) but still you rate gab's skill while they don't really care about that ladder either and only play with mixteams there - ridiculous. i btw still want to see that demo's from some of you guys ( don't remember his name exactly) but u rly lol'd when i asked for it and agreed on uploading it but nothing happened till now. wonder why, he probably forgot it ;)
