Considering they ripped of people by selling a game in its beta, and on top of that, a crappy game, it is only fair they give some of the money back to those who bought it.

It's an American based league.(btw it's also free to enter) If it was a European based league it would be the other way around. Doesn't man it isn't a good thing.
I have no doubt there'll be similar tourneys from the EU leagues but as of this moment none of them are fully supporting it. Plans are in the works to support it from ESL we're just working out some of the finer details.
this just makes me so pissed off, spending money on a fail game with 200 players max, while ET is getting nothing. (except the great support by the ESL)
Affliction beat iNfensus back in the day, at Quake-con '02 (if I'm remembering correctly), among lots of other things. Especially given that it's on US servers, I'd place them in the final easily.
The players have been active in various games as far as I know, but not on the same team. Most of their current lineup used to play together in RTCW & ET (from what my untrustworthy memory tells me).
Yes, that has been taken into consideration, its only a matter of time, well in 2010, were both euro and u.s./a.u. teams will be able to compete on a server which would be at an equal distance from each other. That should allow identical pings in the event a EU team faces off with a U.S. or AU team.
