As of today the long lasting rumours which had been influencing nearly everyone their thoughts about the dignitas CoD4 squad have been confirmed, as the management has decided to release the team from their organisation.

This move by the management is most likely no surprise for the ones who have actively followed the Call of Duty 4 scene as Dignitas were not able to perform on, and retain their old level they once reached back in the time of CoD2.

The team's performance have gone into a downwards spiral this interesting summer season with 3 major LANs offering major prizepurse, though the team wasn't able to achieve any top 3 placing at both the Antwerp eSports Festival and the Experience, nor i34 where they were defending champions.

Because of the lack of results, the chemistry within the team reached a low level, causing internal affairs. Blackmane was mainly being the one who suffered the most by these affairs, with Mick not picking him up at the i34 LAN, and the incident with SKO earlier before.

Dignitas has however said not to have lost their interest in the CoD4 scene as they told on their website they are going to announce a new CoD4 team this weekend. On this matter rumours have also struck down upon the community as the team would most likely be UK based, and Mick and raz are said to become a part of that roster.

To see whether these rumours will be confirmed is only to be answered by waiting for this weekends announcement at the team's website.

The famous gaming portal Tek-9.org has released more information concerning the upcoming major LAN, the Antwerp Esports Festival (AEF).

The event which is going to be held by Tek-9.org in association with Gamevibes, already made a stunning impression on the scene as of the day news had been released about the LAN.

The event is to be held from 25-27 July, having the Hilton hotel as their domain for that weekend. The tournament schedule concerning the dates and times on which matches are going to be played, can be found here.

The official coverage of the tournament will be published on Tek-9.org, but we will most likely see other main gaming sites covering the tournaments as well. (e.g. QuadV has already announced to cover the LAN.)

After both the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4 and Level7 LAN's respectively failed at the Finnish forces of Epsilon, the team felt required to make a major lineup change in order to keep on participating on the upper level in the Call of Duty 4 scene, and stop disappointing themselves with bad results.

The team has dropped three of their Finnish players dae, ana and jani, following the recent inactivity announcement of Fix who has decided to step back from competitive gaming. These drops left the team behind with two players, id3 and sec.

In return, the team has picked up three players who surprisingly come from teams which are considered their rivals. The team has picked previous CS:S player DEEMI who has previously performed for Team Konna on the Level7 LAN. His skills are with no doubt expected to have an impact on the team.

The second player who will try to help the CoD4 team take over control in the scene is konna. This too is a rather surprising move, since he previously played WC3 for MYM, and has fairly recently been introduced to the Call of Duty series.

The third player is plaekki, who also performed on Level7 and this time rather succesfully considering he won the LAN together with his previous team Logitech.fi. His experience on the top level is expected to take the team even further.

The Belgian Call of duty 4 team, LowLandLions (L3) have added a new player to their lineup, because of former player Bocerb'O has moved to the management of the team.

The new player is Restyle, who comes from the team dfiance is really happy with joining the Lions. He had the following to say:

I have had a lot of fun with dfiance but lately things havn't been going so well we had a lot of line up changes and the motivation was really at a low stake. I'm very pleased to team-up with low land lions since they are all nice guys and it's a good organisation. I hope dfiance is able to find a suitable replacement for me and i hope they will continue to play cod4. I wish them the best of luck in 2008.

The LowLandLions are a team which are rumbling in the CoD scene from the end of the CoD2 period, after having a succesfull EuroCup. The team has suffered a few minor lineup changes over the past few months and therefore it can be considered as a rather stable team.

The belgians will also be participating on CDC4, and in the upcoming codQCup.
