XF NC - Finland vs Poland!

image: ncsemi3

We already know Belgium Belgium are in our XF NC final but who will join them! Tonight, we have our second Semi-Final between Finland Finland and Poland Poland!

You can read my preview about the game here, with a little word from Poland wiesiek included in that article page. Hopefully I can get a statement from one of the Finnish players before the game and I'll edit this news item with any updates for tonight's coverage. Again, don't forget to catch the game on ETTV for what promises to be a massive encounter!

So long mick

image: topleft

Today we see another sad day in the big Call of Duty 4 scene. One of the longest servering CoD4 players and one of the biggest gaming icons Michael "Mick" Bradshaw will be retiring from Call of Duty. The reason is said to be lack of motivation to play at this kind of level.

However, dignitas was fast on the player market and found just what they were looking for. Chris "nreo" Mead is the name, we have seen him from teams like Reason Gaming & h2o. A big player but can he follow the footsteps of Mick? Lets cross fingers for Team Dignitas.

Quote by Chris "nreo" Mead
Everybody knows about the talent in this team and the deep history it has so I’m honoured to have been asked to join Dignitas. I’ve got big shoes to fill as Mick has been the central most important icon, player and leader for this team for as long as I can remember. But I’m always up for challenges and this is no different. It was an opportunity I really couldn’t refuse especially as soon as I started playing with the team and having had a chat with the management. Dignitas has an exciting future in store and the sky’s the limit with these bunch of lads so I’m very proud to be a part of that.

The new dignitas.cod4 lineup will be as following:

United Kingdom Chris "Blackmane" Kinnair
United Kingdom Jonathan "raz" Baker
United Kingdom Jason "LoOkzor" O'Connor
United Kingdom Daniel "SoCLoN" O'Connor
United Kingdom Chris "nreo" Mead
United Kingdom Michael "Mick" Bradshaw - backup

Almighty Incomplete

The one team that isn't even after 3 years complete. Hunting their fifth EC place in a row, they are always trying to find new challenges to be met by their invitable skills of ET. Their only goal is to reach the highest possible place in the upcoming EC. After last years bad result may I present you the all new line-up of inc.rev6.

Finland Fel
Finland Raptor
Finland Spirea
Finland Stuka
Finland crosby
Finland Tunesa

Gl guys and happy hunting!

The squad has had numerous successes, a lot of them under the TLR name. High placing EuroCup and IPS spots, as well as in ET Masters, CDC2, CDC3. The TLR brand name went on to take @ CDC4, giving the organisation three s in a row, and hungry for the 4th.

This squad will be looking to go into the next EuroCup and the next crossfire event and defend their number one spot in ET.

Lineup:
 • Latvia Clown
 • Belgium dAv1d
 • Netherlands Lightning
 • Finland Matias

 • Spain Winghaven
IRC: #thelastresort

Quote United Kingdom TLR|Mike:
“TLR is very pleased to have some old faces back. Having worked with these players before and know the results they have achieved in the past, we cant think of any squad we would prefer to take on. We are excited about the next crossfire lan, as its a very important event on the TLR calendar. On behalf of all TLR I would like to welcome the guys back, and wish them success in future events.”

Quote Latvia TLR|Clown:
“We are happy to come back to TLR and after long talks with the management, we have agreed on very nice terms so we can attend cdc5 without any problems”

Crossfire announces Crossfire Challenge 5

Crossfire.nu is proud to announce the fifth installment of its Challenge LAN Series running from December 12-14 2008. The event which has become a focal point in both the Enemy Territory and Call of Duty series returns with an improved prized offering and greater capacity to house teams wishing to attend. The event will take place in the WZZRD Gaming Center in Enschede powered by their new project, WZZRD.tv, this the venue which crowned Fnatic and The Last Resort champions in CoD4 & ET respectively.

The event will also feature an online tournament for each game in November to determine the seedings for the tournament before kicking off in earnest at 9AM on Friday the 12th of December in Enschede. QuadV as always will be live on location broadcasting both the tournament and all the fun of the event both to the web and to the local audience!

Entry fee's will work differently for this event featuring an early bird discount in September - Signups will open in September with the announcement of the prizes and all entries in September will be 40 Euro per player for ET and 50 Euro per player in CoD4. Signups will remain open in October but will be 50 Euro per player in ET and 60 in CoD4 and will only be accepted via online credit card payment (google checkout system). So if you pay before October you get it 10 Euro cheaper.

The brotherhood

image: logo300redRise and shine one more time, I think that could be one of the most sufficient quotes explaining what happened the last few days. Seeing teams like idle and aMenti come back is a joy for everyone that is still somewhat active in the ET scene. With other interesting line ups being created and not to forget top team FiF ( contender ) this season has all the ingredients it needs to be spectaculair as it has been so many times ( to exclude last season then ).

Having said that, it's my honour to present the line up of one of the most stable and unfortunately most hated teams of the last few years. Question is can you still call this a team, for me this has more evolved into a family. Having performed well at multiple events already we will probably enter this seasons EC and other competitions to come again as the underdog, our so beloved position. So here you have it
