Changes in Ravens

image: ravens_banner

After all the major summer tournaments coming to an end, Roskilde Ravens has been undergoing some drastic changes.

As from now on Team captain Kenneth "fRiJeC" Jensen will no longer be a part of the Ravens COD4 team. He will Instead be concentrating on new projects within Roskilde eSport, such as the-eXperience 2009.

Quote by Organisation manager Jens "Sarabande" Christian Ringdal"Kenneth is more than just a player; he has huge potential when it comes to eSport, knowing organisations, teams and players etc. It has been hard to work fully with these qualifications while Kenneth was playing actively for Ravens. With the reorganisation of our Call of Duty 4 team this is now possible"

Along with fRiJeC we will also see Mik "Champ" Bødtker leaving the COD4 team.

Quote by Team manager Jamie "Zino" Bach"We have seen Champ perform amazingly at both CDC4 and i33, but at both AEF and TEX he was not near past performances. I have had talks with Champ about this and it has come clear that he needs a break from the high level of gaming until he has once again found the sparkle that made him one of the best snipers in Europe."

Instead of fRiJeC and Champ we will once again see Lars-Michael "LM" Milo-Sydow in the team. And as something new Roskilde Ravens is also welcoming a new face to the organisation in the shape of team captain Kristian "Holbek" Holbek who will lead Ravens in future matches.

Lineup:
Denmark Kristian "Holbek" Holbek
Denmark Emil "Hiffer" Ervolder
Denmark Frederik "Huggo" Christensen
Denmark Lars-Michael "LM" Milo-Sydow
Denmark Brian "wmzY" Bie

Backup:
Denmark André "R3CoR" Jensen
Denmark Mik "Champ" Bødtker

Manager:
Denmark Jamie "Zino" Bach

Hungary, Poland, Swords Drawn

With Hungary Logic having been disallowed from the cup from a recently erected pbban and Poland Poland almost entirely focused on the UGS LAN, this match has been postponed slightly, however tonight will show the game i personally will feel will be the best of the quarter finals. This match will be the final game of the quarters, after Sunday held the clash of the other 6 competing nations (See here for coverage).

Hungary HUNGARY vs POLAND Poland ]
With Hungary coming through the group stages with a win over Australia Australia and Latvia Latvia, we're certain we can play well at their best, but missing Hungary Logic may play a critical role in the outcome of this game. With a forfeit win against Netherlands The Netherlands, one can never be completely sure what the outcome would have been with the Hungarians against a top team, but tonight we shall see them compete again. Poland Poland come well prepared straight out of LAN preparation. After winning against United States of America USA and Slovakia Slovakia, Poland Poland have yet to prove their full potential.

Date and Time: Tuesday 26th August 2008, 21 CET (time open to minor change)

Poland krisek
Poland dialer
Poland s4rna
Poland zMk Hungary Nonix

Hungary Boristen
Hungary varadi

Prediction: Whilst Hungary have faced stronger opponents than Poland and come out on top, Poland have certainly come from the UGS well prepared. I predict a 4:2 win for Hungary.[/center]

The winner of this game will reach the final four teams of the competition, a success from any angle. Whoever wins will be taking on Finland Finland in what will clearly be a struggle to win. Which team will be more prepared to take on the fins in the coming week? Tune in tonight and see!

#Offi-ET Now in Service

As ET grows older by the day, players naturally come and go, and this will of course affect the competitive side of the game. Over time, clans in search of practice have began to struggle to find opponents worth playing against for various reasons. In an attempt to regain the excitement amongst practice wars, and provide a refreshing experience for those competing, #offi-et is now open, where teams can search for official wars in both ClanBase and ESL ladders, and in multiple formats. Naturally, were teams to arrange their games in advance, gamestv can also be used in order to provide ETTV coverage for the matches, providing entertainment for spectators as well as players.

Players are also reminded now that ClanBase ladder games are often included in the consideration of division placement, therefore teams aiming to reach as high a division as possible should relish the opportunity to boost their team's recognition amongst the ClanBase supervisors.

Formats we will support include the most popular of 6v6 and 3v3, as well as other supported formats such as 1v1, 2v2, and 5v5. Teams may begin searching already, and opponents can be found in #offi-et. Naturally, all levels of skill are welcome, and opponents of a similar skill level will hopefully be found.

Good luck and have fun!

fnatic finalize roster.

After removing team captain Sweden mintR and Sweden zEm last Tuesday following a dissapointing performance at the Multiplay i34, fnatic has revealed its finalized roster and officially presented two new additions.

Joining the team is the Swedish sniper player Sweden rivve, who recently impressed at The Experience with his team Begrip Gaming. rivve already played together with odyxz, tidde and zsilts in EYEBALLERS before the team switched to fnatic, but eventually decided to leave the team due to pc problems.

With rivve joining the team, fnatic has finalized its roster with yet another familiar face: Sweden zsilts, who left the team back in April stating he lacked the motivation to play the game.
