image: QWLBanner

ClanBase BETA Cup Champions and Swedish heartthrobs one2 tonight look to make it to their second successive ET:QW final in a row. They're quickly emerging as the team to beat in ET:QW having only dropped one round so far in competition, including CB, i3d.nl & QWL. Their opponents are the Quakecon bound Team Dignitas, that veritable hybrid of Enemy Territory and BF's finest who are putting in the hard graft as they prepare for August.

If you're one of the 70% of Crossfire readers experiencing déjà vu, don't worry. This is a carbon copy of the ClanBase ET:QW Beta Semi Finals, in which one2 breezed to an easy 4:0 victory - holding Dignitas back for over 17 minutes in the first round.

Are Dignitas good enough to impose SonDacs' promised revenge, or will one2 continue their dominance? Find out at 22:00 CET.

The cup co-supervisor Nuke managed to catch up with Hackbard from cause and Numse from One2 regarding tonight's final:

Quote by HackbardEveryone expected us as an underdog the whole time. Was a nice playing for us because we dont needed to proof anything the whole tourney. Ofcourse for the finals we are the underdogs again :-) I can live with this underdog situation very well. But against one2 it will be very tough for us. But i think we can give them a nice fight.

Hackbard interview

Quote by NumseI expected to play Dignitas or Kompaniet in the final. Cause has a good team though, and often unexpected tacs.

Numse interview

With Sweden One2 coming from a fresh victory over dignitas on Sunday, they are surely the favorites to win tonight's Premier League Final against Germany cause. We must not forget the other two games to be played tonight though. Team Europe dignitas will play for third place after their crushing defeat against One2 versus the Spain wArning! team that ripped through lolicon just days ago. Finally, Germany Schwarz will be looking to power through the Europe gaming team to claim the top spot in the Second League grand final.

Make sure you don't miss out on tonight's games as they promise to deliver the best Quake Wars action we've had to date!

More than a month and a half of fluctuating competition culminates in tonight's grand final match between Team Dignitas and The Last Resort. On paper it is a match-up befit a grand final, a clash chock full of history that will form another chapter in the story of the rivalry between two of the game's most accomplished sides.

One is a team that seemed unbeatable for always and ever, by anybody; a team whose dominance at times bordered the ludicrous; true long-standing champions whose reign bore resemblance to that of Mike Tyson before he went to Tokyo and got utterly crushed by Buster Douglas. The other is a team that, after months of determined efforts, managed to reverse a public humiliation to a ground-breaking victory that would set the pace of competitive Enemy Territory for months to come; a team that turned an April afternoon in a hot gaming centre in the Netherlands into a turning point in the history of the game as they dethroned the hegemony of the first-mentioned.

one2 defeat Dignitas in CB

image: cb_etqw_betacup_banner
one2 have made the headlines for all the right reasons tonight after defeating Quakecon bound Dignitas in straight maps in the Clanbase ET:QW beta cup Semi Final. They will face spaniards wArning or cause in the grand final of the cup.

The figures dont look good for Dignitas who were held for around 18 minutes on the first stage. Their defence was breached in little under 10 minutes and the second half got even worse for the side off to Dallas in just over a week. The Swedes set a time of 12 minutes and then fullheld Dignitas at the EMP stage. Substitute aneki had this to say:

Quote by AnekiIt feels good to be a part of the strongest etqw team at the moment. Dignitas and Kompaniet are teams not to be trifled with and both are extremely good teams which made the victory so so much sweeter. However I count on Kompaniet will be coming back with full force, trying to take the spot.

In the other match lolicon were no match for the spaniards as wArning powered through them, in truth the side offered little to no resistance and hentai was quoted as saying the side were under prepared for the match.

We are eSuba, drop your weapons!

After a long time of preparations and long disscusions with the head management of Czech powerhouse Czech Republic eSuba I can now proudly inform you that from now on Czech Republic eSuba will support an Enemy Territory team! From the beggining of my projects I knew that the only ET team that could ever succeed in such a thing is no other than our Czech Enemy Territory flagship, I dare to say known to everyone as Czech Republic infrag. So everything is arranged and we are looking forward to next season, playing under such a famous name. The main goal will be of course train as much as possible during August for the upcoming CDC3 Qualifiers same as for trying to finally reach as 3rd Czech team ever to fight in the next EC. I believe that our team is able to qualify at least for one of these prestige events but it will surely depend on many things. But the team has again full motivation to achieve something under the name of Czech Republic eSuba and make the managers happy with our results. This news was my dream for long time and now it is a proof that everyone really has a power to do something for W:ET and that always is chance to move our game forward and attract more players and eSport organizations. Hope that this thing will inspire people from other small Enemy Territory communities to keep on working for this great game and enjoy next season.

Now look at the new Enemy Territory lineup of Czech Republic eSuba:

Czech Republic Jiri 'hellish' Kolar - Squad Leader
Czech Republic Ales 'alexzoo' Pitra - Player
Czech Republic Nikola 'Brs' Docekal - Player
Czech Republic Milan 'butch' Konir - Player
Czech Republic Radek 'Loo' Jarosch - Player
Czech Republic Tomas 'nindrt' Sevcík - Player

Czech Republic Ondrej 'smOke' Baca - Manager

Czech Republic Jiri 'hellish' Kolar: "Joining such a famous multiclan such as eSuba is big motivation for our team. Finnaly we have chance to proof our Enemy Territory skills and represent eSuba at home scene same as in europe. We really appreciate this great opportunity and I am sure that headquaters of eSuba will be satisfied with our future results. Our goal is pretty clear for us - qualification for CDC3 and of course try to do our best again in EC qualifiers. We really looking forward to represent eSuba in such events and I wanna say thank you one more time for this chance managers of eSuba."

Teamoxid are the champions!

image: codqcup_291x105
Tonight the Call of Duty 2 Qpad cup July edition (organised by CallofDuty.se iin co-operation with Qpad) reached its climax. With both the losers bracket final and the grand final taking place it surely was an entertaining evening. As you could have read yesterday there where three teams left into play, The winners of the upper bracket, Sweden Teamoxid, and in the lower brackets we had Finland Team Logitech and Czech Republic eSuba.

The losers bracket final was an amazing match with these two well known teams facing each other for the first time since a while. Normal playtime wasn't enough to decide the better out of these two teams, which ended in a draw. However after some overtime rounds eSuba took the lead, and the victory shortly after.

Czech Republic eSuba [16:13] Finland Team Logitech

The CODQCUP progressed with the Grand Final between Teamoxid and eSuba. Yesterday the swedes were able to take home a quite confident win taking 13 rounds versus the 6 rounds taken by Team Logitech, would the score be different today? Well, eSuba put in a great effort, but it wasn't enough. The match was at match point, 12-10 in favor of the Team Oxid guys, while Team Logitech were able to take one more point at that time making the score 12-11 still in favor of Team Oxid. This time the Swedes stepped up and took the last round home in an impressive way, having takes down four out of five eSuba players without losing any of their own.

Grand finale:
Sweden Teamoxid [13:11] Czech Republic eSuba

This was the last CODQCUP for a while, while the future for CoD2 is reaching a deciding face with some major LANs still left before the release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Crunch time draws near as the all-Finnish side of Insignia Cadre duke it out with the boisterous CPC2 champions of The Last Resort in the last chance saloon of the etQcup losers bracket. With a position in the top three secured, trophies and prize money are already a reality for both teams, but yet to be vied for is the amount of spoils and the opportunity to contend with Team Dignitas for the tournament gold.
