Dignitas take down Reason in thriller!

image: i30cod2-600
Dignitas have won i30 after Reason gaming took the iniative to claw themselves back into the grand final in Newbury.

It was a sunny day in Newbury and after both teams took to the stage there were two questions on the lips of the audience, first how ready are Dignitas after their recent roster change and second are Reason really challengers?

The answers came quickly as Toujane's first half saw Dignitas in a little bit of trouble as Reasons versatile defence coped well with everything that the reigning champions could throw at them. However Reaons' offence was shambolic, they were unimaginative and failed to control the roofs which for some reason was their only objective. Dignitas won the map without dropping a round on their defence.

Burgundy has been very favourable to Dignitas in grand finals and that had a large part to do with Trainee, his performances with the sniper have won the map for dignitas on many an occasion. However this time Reason clawwed their back with their own sniper. Blackmane had a fantastic match with some fantastic shooting and covering work, theres no doubting that the map was close, however Reason were on top. That being said it was 7:5 in favour of dignitas at half time, Reaons' second half performance pulled them through onto a decider map.

It was to be Dawnville, once digntias' home map that Reason were going to have to claim the most unlikely of victories from. They started well and the map really had some nice indvidual efforts and by this point BlackMane and Torsh were well adjusted to their first final. At one point the pair on Dawnville had well over 2 thirds of their teams frags and were carrying Reason to victory. It was 6-6 at half time, but reason had pulled into the lead at the start of the second half. However as the pressure took its toll the experienced Dignitas eased past their opponents and Mick put the final nail in the Reason coffin.

Dignitas win, but in truth this result says more about Reason than it does Dignitas, Reason head to Enschede as 3rd seed in their group behind H2k and Speedlink. I think they'll be looking nervously over their shoulder now.

Toujane - Dignitas 13:5 Reason
Burgundy - Dignitas 10:13 Reason
Dawnville - Dignitas 13:9 Reason

Dignitas face Reason in i30 Final

UK Giants Dignitas take on Reason Gaming in an i30 final that is not as conclusive as some may have thought at the start of the tournament. Dignitas have looked impressive as expected, however Reason have matched them almost round for round in the early stages.

Reason have infact looked brilliant in each and every game, whilst Dignitas have had one wobble on trainstation against Infused. For Dignitas they will be looking for their third successive crown. They've won the iseries and taken down all comers up to this point, last time out against c4u.

i30 well underway!

Crossfire is on the scene in Newbury for the i30 tournament as Dignitas look to retain their crown. What should be a routine route for both Dignitas and Reason to the grand finals has had a few ups and downs along the way.

Dignitas had a shakey first half against infused, having drawn the half on trainstation the side needed to dig deep to overcome their compatriots.

Crossfire's very own Scarface had this to say:

Quote by scarfaceThe event murmours suggest that Reason will win the i30 tournament and I happen to agree with them, I think they're on hot form and could do well. Dignitas however cant be underestimated, they often leave the best until last not wanting to show all their cards until they have to, espcially with CPC next week

Reason are steaming through the bracket and do look on the hot form that people have mentioned. They took down SnD in convincing fashion 13-5 and now face frantiC in the semi final to set up the dream final against Dignitas. Dignitas must face eSource with the prospect of Reason in the final. The semi's are just about to get underway with the final scheduled for 14:00 GMT on Sunday.

Who will play the lan final?

image: newsbanner

On sunday we will see the winner bracket final. The winner will take a place in the final that will be played on CPC2! This game will be between United Kingdom The Last Resort and United Kingdom Impact Gaming. They faced eachother before in the first matchweek on sw goldrush and braundorf b4. Tlr won that game with a clear 4-0 victory. Its up to impact now. Can they show they improved in the last couple of weeks?

Both teams started in group C together with Belgium cZar and Netherlands morrigu. The first game in that group was between Tlr and impact. Tlr took that game with 4-0 on sw goldrush and braundorf b4. After that Tlr did not drop a single round and had a clear 12/0 round scorein the group. Impact on the other hand had a start that could have gone better. Not winning a single game with 4-0 in the group stage but they did proceed to the playoff's as number 2 in group C.

Lets check the way both teams made

United KingdomThe Last Resort so far are the only remaining team in ET Masters yet to even drop a round. They have played all their matches and won, so far in comprehensive style. Many wondered what effect adding Belgium mAus to their lineup as a replacement for Netherlands M1lk would do to the team however his devastating aim and damage coupled with the quality teamplay that United Kingdom TLR show has prooven to be a winning combination. Their route so far:

Group Stages[/u]
United Kingdom TLR 4:0 United Kingdom Impact Gaming
United Kingdom TLR 4:0 Netherlands Morrigu
United Kingdom TLR 4:0 Belgium Czar

Elimination Stage[/u]
United Kingdom TLR 4:0 Poland Netrunners
United Kingdom TLR 4:0 Europe k1ck

With victories against top seeds United Kingdom Impact and Poland NETR you can see that their route has not been a simple one however they have cut through the opposition like a knife through butter. Tonight however sees the exit of allstar Czech Republic marv who is replaced for the tournament and for the forthcoming CPC2 by the polish hitman Poland Doktor. What effect this will have on the team with another lineup change remains to be seen. Will they just continue to sweep through their opponents with a seamless integration like the one of Belgium mAus or will the loss of Czech Republic Marv proove more costly than they imagined.

United Kingdom Impact Gaming had a difficult start in the group. They were not able to win a single match with 4:0 in the group. With United Kingdom Mztik being replaced by Netherlands m1lk they needed a bit of time it seemed to get their teamplay up. Will this be the moment we've all been waiting for? Will United Kingdom Impact Gaming be able to stop United Kingdom Tlr in this winning mood? Their route so far:

Group Stages[/u]
United Kingdom Impact Gaming 0:4 United Kingdom TLr
United Kingdom Impact Gaming 4:2 Belgium cZar
United Kingdom Impact Gaming 4:2 Netherlands Morrigu

Elimination Stage[/u]
United Kingdom Impact Gaming 4:0 Germany vae/4I
United Kingdom Impact Gaming 4:0 Sweden zeroPoint

With close victories in the group against Belgium cZar and Netherlands mQ and a lost against United Kingdom Tlr they had not the start they wished. With the 2nd place in their group they had to face Germany vae and noone was sure what the outcome of this game would be after Germany vae had showed some nice play before but they lost one of their key players Finland Squall so it would be a game where everything could happen. A 4-0 vitory for United Kingdom Impact Gaming. After that Sweden zP was waiting this would be the first real test for them and they passed it with a 4-0 again. Will this be enough to take on a Tlr on fire?

Predictions
United Kingdom Adacore While impact gaming undoubtedly have the most highly rated roster of any team to ever grace the ET scene, I don't think they have what it takes to grab a win against a TLR side which has looked absolutely sublime since their latest roster changes. That said, it should be a close match and could go either way, but I see it going to a 4-0 victory for TLR.

Belgium Bartichello based on the fact they have been playing toghether for a longer time and impact still isn't back full force yet a 4-2 win for TLR

Croatia Frozz Eventhough Impact has trio from parodia, two ownage tulips and a finnish tiger, it's not gonna be enough to beat mr. aCoZz (the most underrated player ever) and his Russian friends.Match will certainly be close but I would go for TLR, 4-2.

Netherlands Azz0r After the Impact line-up was announced they had a nice ego. It didn't work out good and they even got owned by their good baldy friend ronner. After that they decided to take m1lk in but still Impact didnt came further then a 4-2 or 0-4. So they started to prac serious and because of that m1lk and tekoa are never on the kreaturen ventrilo anymore! FFS! But because of that they will win with 4-0.

Team Dignitas signs Intel

image: about_logo
Quote by TosspoTIn tier 2 you have organisations like Dignitas, Serious Gaming, Check6, digitalMind, H2k who operate usually just under the radar of Intel and AMD’s marketing budget.

Has Team Dignitas moved to the top tier today?

A few hours ago the well known multigaming organisation Europe Team Dignitas, known by many of you for their Enemy Territory team, has announced Intel to be their new head sponsor. Until now just a few organisations in the European Union have had the honor of partnering up with a large organisation like Intel is.

Cadre was even stronger than hate

image: cbeu6on6copyfv7

For years now the mixteam lead by Croatia FroZzeN, known as Europe Stronger than Hate has been the leading team in the ClanBase 6on6 ladder. No-more! Finaly after such a long period of time a team has stepped up able to throw the kings from their thrown..

The team which was able to overthrow the ruling team of Europeans best was nothing less than the experienced and skilled Finland Insignia Cadre side. Having joined the Insignia Cadre organisation just a week ago the former Negative Image proved they were not to be messed with, and have obtained their first achievement. a glorious achievement if I may say. Something many clans have tried before, has finaly been done.

EuroCup Qualifier Changes

image: eurocup

The ClanBase EuroCup qualifiers are well underway, with Finland Insignia Cadre demonstrating yesterday their dominance over Europe Octense, while United Kingdom AuxiliA were held to a surprisingly close two map victory over Czech Republic infrag.

Due to scheduling difficulties a small change has been made to the qualifiers, with some teams switched and a replacement team added to enable all qualifier matches to be played. Europe snd multigaming have decided to withdraw from competition in this season's EuroCup, with Slovakia ESVKA taking their place in a match against Poland Fear Factory tonight! The qualifiers changed are:

Tonight - 22:00 CET
:: Poland Fear Factory X-Fi vs. Slovakia ESVKA

Monday 9th - 20:30 CET
:: Sweden ultimate Conspiracy vs. Europe el Vigorz (old vib)

Good luck to these four teams against their new opponents!

In addition to these rescheduled games, we also have another qualifier tonight - the multinational vae team-nv side, perhaps somewhat overshadowed by the other vae squad 4i and their recent problems take on the resilient force of the finnish Incomplete.

Tonight - 20:30 CET
:: Europe Vicious & Evil team-nv vs. Finland Incomplete

WSVG Games released

image: wsvg

After seeing an release of this years WSVG Games with the funny games WoW, Guitar Hero 2 and Fight Night Round 3, the WSVG have added an announcement about additional games. While the USA stick playing Counter Strike: Source, but without a big amount of clans, it's been a new and especially a big choice coming up for the whole CoD2 community there.

Call of Duty 2 and Quake 4 will be the shooter games on this years season in the USA while the european and asian stops will be held with Counter Strike 1.6.

The WSVG stops in Dallas and Orlando during July and August will have their very own Call of Duty 2 Tournament. Still this announcement is not as good as it sounds, since the step from getting there as a european team and not playing it on a european lan neither the final event at the dreamhack. Still everyone can expect to support the WSVG and CoD2 by attending as a european team on the US events as well as getting some IRC channel and columns up.

Quote by WSVGThis is the news you've been waiting for. Four primary games, six stops, $750,000 in prizes. World of Warcraft. Is there a bigger game? It was on South Park! Quake 4 is back with the fast paced competition you've grown to love since you downloaded that demo of Thresh back in '98. For the metalheads, Guitar Hero 2 rips onto your console, groupies included. Just don't belt out Freebird at your next party. Last but not least, the bruises and scars look oh so real in EA Sports' Fight Night Round 3. The game is phenomenal; it takes ultra-realism to a whole new level.

CB EuroCup Qualifiers - Day 2

image: eurocup

Day 1 has ended yesterday with no suprises, both favourites won their qualifier match and will play in the upcoming EuroCup. Finland Insignia Cadre won there first match against the suprisely chosen Europe venue and United Kingdom Auxilia won against the best czech team Czech Republic team infrag in a tense match.

Today, Day 2, features another 2 qualifier matches. Another Finnish top team Finland Incomplete will face Europe vicious and evil - team nv.

Finland Incomplete, one of the 2 finnish top teams together with Finland Insignia Cadre, also played in the previous EuroCup. Tonight we'll be able to see if they are still capable to participate on the EuroCup level after the loss of Lepari, Dable, jjameson and some more. There new lineup consists of old Inc players such as Rk, Spirea, Sanda and Stuka, plus some new faces named Matias and Raptor. Tonight we'll see if they are still on the same level as before, they already prove to be a good clan by winning the ET-Cup #24 by beating ultimate Conspiracy in the final.

Europe vicious and evil - team-nv will be the opponent of the finnish Incomplete. With there latest addition of AzA to their team, they might suprise us tonight. This team is full of potentional, but lacks EuroCup experience. vae.nv never really showed there skill yet, played in the 1day-cup last Sunday and reached the Semi Finals after winning against another EuroCup qualifier team OCENTSe. I personally haven't seen them playing yet, but I guess they are capable of suprising us somehow tonight.
