CB OpenCup annouced

image: ocannouncmy8

Tonight the seven leagues of the upcoming season of OpenCup has been revealed. Some people might feel that they have been let down by the admins while others feel they have en over rated by the same admins; it is however not enough for people to start the up flaming the admins trying to run the OpenCup here and there. In the Premier League the following groups has been made (The following is of the news-writers own opion and does not reflect Crossfire.nu's opinion) :

Netherlands artificial
Europe Dharma
Europe venue - Multigaming OCTENse
Europe Reliably.et

A group that looks rather one sided, towards the former EuroCup clan artificial, but the other 3 European clans hold much potential to make an upset to win the group.

Czech Republic Porn Star Babes
Poland SaveMeGod
Europe el Vigorz
Estonia team-violence

This is a group that already seems doomed, since it hold CPC qualifier el Vigorz (former vib), I cannot see anyone else in this group making a worthy adversary for the former violence is bad squad.

Europe Beaver
Poland FBI-Team
Estonia suXus esports
Germany PowerMaurerClanGermany

This is one of the more interesting groups, suXus is the 3rd place from previous season of OC, while Beaver and FBI has proven alot of skill in the past time. My personaly experience of PMCG dates back to one year ago playing against this team in WarLeagues winning against them; so I foresee them being the loosers of this group.

Finland Grave Guardians
Israel e-Srael.org
Hungary Thunder Force - multigaming
Poland Polewka Team

Another interesting group, but I see GG coming out of this group as victories. T4ce and eSr is in the shade of shade of what former teams with these names prove. Finally it will interesting to see a polewka team without the dominating kot.

Germany advanced Gamers united
Slovakia ESVKA
Germany Vicious & Evil
United States of America Team 0verRated

This is by far one of the most exciting groups in OC, since there is an uncertain factor of an American team; I really do not see a clear favorite in this group.

Europe 2 EZ for uz
Italy explosionC4 Multigaming
Czech Republic Team infrag
United Kingdom sYnod5 Gaming

I see this group as being a battle between the mix team 2EZ and EC4, not saying that infrag and sYnod5 being bad clans, but they have not shown any great results withint the last couple of months.

Hungary iNf!N!tY*SkillS.ET - HaxXers
Europe #luger
Poland PrIde
Germany shidima

If Group E was exciting, then what is Group G? Who will win this group is a matter of personal skill and peaking of skill on the exact day, when these four teams collide. I do not dare to say who will be the winner of this group.

Europe dark and beyond
Europe silentium
Europe snd multigaming
Poland Voodoo Gaming

There are two teams standing out from the crowd in this group, which is seek and destroy and Voodoo Gaming, both made of old school players wishing for more. I predict one of these two teams to be vitorious in this group.

This season is maxing out at the same amount of leagues as the previous two seasons of OpenCup has presented, so who ever is saying ET is dead, well they might be wrong. You can ofcouse see all of the groups by clicking the source link in the end of this news.

The cZar is dead!

image: czarbanner
cZar gaming who have created their own little corner in the gaming world have today closed their doors. The team that twice hosted belgian ET teams aswell as CoD teams have decided enough is enough!

cZar will merge with the former Z-Partito organisation now known as Logitech.Fi in what is a case of one big finnish fish eating a smaller one. cZar will bring across just one side, their warsow division will make the transition, however nothing else will move with them, inparticular their ET division who will still attend CPC but not under the Logitech banner.

The cZar management who move across to Logitech will be reunited with their successful Call of Duty squad, who also played for Idle. Under the cZar brand the side enjoyed their most successful period, winning the Playz lan February 06.

Quote by NeqquFor some time now I have been scrolling through different teams and different games trying to find suitable players to continue Team Logitech.Fi success. After finally meeting up with Wallu made me realize that i wasnt only needing new good players but also people working beside me, behind our players making them possible to focuse what they do best. Combining now the management of cZar Gaming under the name Team Logitech.fi and also having 3 new Warsow players i finally can relax and share my work to people that i have learned to trust. I believe we are going to have fun at the future so welcome cZar =)

The finnish scene now sees a two way split in the multigaming organisations between Logitech and Insignia Cadre, however one of the most successful CS teams in the business still homeless are infact finnnish, none other than 69°N-28°E.

High tempo tonight, Aux vs. VaE

Loosers Bracket Round 2[/u]

United Kingdom Auxilia 2:4 Germany Vicious and Evil
Maps: Goldrush & Frostbite
Time: 21:00 CET
ETTV: GamesTV.org -

Well if you haven't seen all the journals in crossfire about the issues surrounding the Germany VaE team today here is a recap. With VaE already short after losing key player Finland Squallii their FOP the previously busted United Kingdom Razz has also announced that he will not attend CPC2 with the VaE squad. Leaving VaE reeling they before tonights ET Masters game they will call upon Finland Decem who is already on their roster having already played for VaE once so far and another unknown Poland merc to play with them.

United Kingdom Auxilia for that matter are also short for tonights crunch game having the likes of Eddie unavailable due to holiday and so in an extremely contraversial move they have brought in none other than former VaE player United Kingdom Razz to join them in their ET Masters campaign.

Per the rules this is not allowed unless special dispensation is given by the admin. Having spoken to both sides about this i have agreed to let the game go ahead. Both teams will be given the same allowance to bring in a player already playing / played in ET masters thus making it equal for both. The other option would have been to allow neither side to have a player and thus most likely ruling both teams out of the tournament. ET Masters remember does not allow wild cards. Neither team wanted this and VaE were happy to allow Razz to play for Aux therefore it was agreed for the game to go ahead. Unexpected and some would say unfair maybe, but a decision had to be made either way be it right or wrong in peoples minds.

One thing is for sure that whatever happens tonight will be an explosive game with neither team wishing to crash out of the tournament, both teams using mercs and thus being understrength and emotions and tempers already extremely high from the days events. Head over to gtv and join in the many ETTV servers broadcasting tonights encounter.

The CODQCUP finals tonight

Tonight dutch powerhouses Netherlands Serious Gaming will face with the strong French side of France emuLate. The teams are not only playing for prizes sponsored by Qpad, Plantronics, X3M Servers and Noctua but also for the honor for winning one of the largest online cups in the Call of Duty 2 scene.

The last clash between the two Call of Duty 2 topclans was just a week ago, emuLate surprised us all by throwing the Dutch EuroCup silver medalists into the loserbracket were they overcame the Brittish powerhouses of United Kingdom Team Dignitas.

Will Serious Gaming be able to overcome emuLate this time, or will the French outplay the Dutchies? We will find out tonight at 21:30!

The game started at a mile a minute and continued right until the end, it was an absolute thriller! zP looked to have been absorbed in their first attack on Supply before a shock flag grab saw them turn the tables and plant top and bottom. However once top had blown, impact grabbed the flag bag and defused the bottom only for zP to counter and grab top and push forward before then reclaiming bottom. They went on to set an 8 minute time with some important panzer dodging from Keran to aid their cause. Impact attacked steadily and made the most of a weak middle stage to win with 40 seconds to spare, both sides enjoying fruitful times on Allies and left with questions about their Axis play.
Impact tore through the zP radar defence taking the command post in 2 attacks, after that it was balls to the wall for zP and after just 4 minutes were called into a heart pounding document relay with 3 individual grabs and relays in the space of minute. They were finally defeated with a time of 8 minutes to beat. They started well, but couldnt get back into the game with just one grab on the west radar.
Impact face Dignitas the CPC2 group stages in 2 weeks, dont miss it!

EDiT win WZZRD CPC CoD Qualifier

image: cpc2
Team EDiT has managed to secure the last spot for the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge in a convincing manner.

In the final they beat Rubber Duckies with 21-8 on Burgundy and Carentan. Third place goes to the Belgians from In Rectum Love. Last is Knights.

Groupstage

EDiT 13-2 KnightS - Toujane
IRL 12-16 Duckies - Burgundy (4-2 overtime win)
IRL 12-3 KnightS - matmata
EDiT 13-7 Duckies - dawnville
Duckies 13 - 4 Knights - Toujane
IRL 4-13 EDiT - Matmata

Group Standings

1. EDiT 3W
2. Duckies 2W 1L
3. IRL 1W 2L
4. KnightS 3L

Play offs:
Consolation Final: Knights 2-16 In Rectum Love
Grand Final: EDiT 21-8 RubberDuckies

Recap:

EDiT's victory in the group stage over the Duckies was a close affair with some excellent CoD being played, but the win has left them with a place in the grand final and only IRL left to play. EDiT is the favourite to win the Wild Card for CPC #2, but Rubber Ducks already proved that there something to win against team EDiT.

IRL needed to beat EDiT to have at least a chance of qualifying. However, EDiT denied them any chance on Matmata as they proved to be adaptable enough to deny any attempts by the Belgians.

In the final, EDiT rose to the occassion by the likes of Linden who was on fire for the team. Especially on Carentan the Dutch player was a huge contributor to the 9-0 win on Carentan.
