ClanBase and WarLeagues Enemy Territory divisions would like to announce that all future cups and leagues will be played in a 5v5 format.

This will be effective from the next season in both leagues and brings us in line with other games and increases our chances of future LAN events enormously, as well as reinvigorating the game with new playstyles and tactics. 3v3 leagues and ladders are uneffected by this change. A new 5v5 ladder on ClanBase will be online within 24 hours.

We look forward to a long, exciting and happy future for ET - the future has never looked brighter for the game.

zeroPoint is proud to today announce its return to Wolfenstein Enemy Teritory. After a previous foray into the game, zP has today renewed its commitment to the game by picking up one of the hottest properties on the competitive circuit.

“When the opportunity arose, we were quick to pounce on this allstar team” said Calle Stern, Managing Director of zeroPoint. “With Enemy Territory being on the rise again with several offline events upcoming in 2007 we felt we were not done with the game. Since the removal of our previous team we have been looking for a replacement and today we are happy to announce that we have finally found them.”

With four players fresh from experience in Dallas this summer, the side is built on foundations of Quakecon and Eurocup success and will be under the management of Inside the Game's Stuart “TosspoT” Saw.

We all now know about the team named dMIZE. But be prepared to forget everything you know about that team, from the meteoric rise to near EuroCup glory last season, right up until last night's epic battle with idle which went all the way to the wire. Forget that, because dMIZE have, as their name suggested, succumbed to their demise, but not in the form that usually meets a EuroCup team. Instead, rising up out of the smoke comes a new and improved outfit under the support of ET specific MGC "aMenti", which has ambitions to take Europe by story this season. The “Big Two”, ClanBase and ESL have officially announced that they’ll be making the switch to ETPro 3.2.6 and the Patch 2.60b respectively.

Within hours of this release the ClanBase crew announced that all Cups hosted and ran by ClanBase will switch to ETPro 3.2.6, and the consequent required Enemy Territory Patch 2.60b immediately.

To make use of the newly added ETPro 3.2.6 features and bug fixes, ClanBase Enemy Territory will now force ETPro 3.2.6 in all upcoming cups and current ladders. As from today, ClanBase ET will force the newest official version of ETPro for use in all ladders and cups.

The ESL admin team have also officially announced the switch. As from this Sunday, all ESL matches must be played using ETPro 3.2.6. ESL Admin Chosen confirmed:

ESL have officially announced that they will change to ETPro 3.2.6 as of midnight Saturday 23rd September. All matches played after this date must use ETPro 3.2.6.

Coinciding with these moves Gamestv.org have also announced that as from this Sunday 24th September all matches broadcast by Gamestv.org will be using ETPro 3.2.6.

Here on GTV, all matches before and including Saturday 23rd will be broadcasted using 3.2.5 servers where appropriate. Leagues wishing to apply for coverage in this time should note we cannot supply 3.2.6 servers before this time. GTV will move all servers and requests to ETPro 3.2.6 as from Sunday 24th.

It is expected that other smaller tournaments will adhere to this deadline imposed by Gamestv.org.

ETPro 3.2.6: We will change over to the latest version of ET (2.60b) and ETPro (3.2.6) when the IPS First Stage is finished.

After two test releases, it's time for another official release of ETPro.
Besides support for ET 2.60b, version 3.2.6 brings us 6 new crosshairs, "Competition Fueldump" and a non-cheatprotected cg_centertime. The most welcome bugfix among nVidia users should be the workaround fixing the non displaying commandmap icons on 91.xx drivers.
