my age: 17 (18 in two months, 3rd of november)
anyway it depends on your perception of things: some people think that it's original what they are writing and they wouldnt say that IRL, some think it's uber-funny, some think that it's stupid/kiddy, but they compare it to RL, but I must admit some comments are really KIDDY, because of the personality and/or the power of crowd and/or anonimity.
Think about it this way, in real life, a kid that's 15/16 acts immature/childish. It's not a criticism by describing them that way, it's how people of that age should be. Hell, I was like that.
Anyway, there is little chance for a kid to have a great deal of responsibility at that age but look at the internet. Anonymous and with no age barrier/limit, people at that age can get given a lot of "responsibility" in relation to internet organisations or other such online orientated activities.
Now, if you look at the other side of the coin. You see the 21+ guys who have left university, have a job, a mortgage and even a wife and kids, 1ith huge responsibilities and real-life commitments. At least with the internet, these people can "recapture their youths", with the luxury once again of anonymity, these adults can act however they please.
It's an interesting theory/idea and it's one I tend to agree with. Obviously, it conforms to stereotypes that not everyone may be apart of but still, it's a nice thought. :-)

and to be honest, i think the internet can be seen as something like a refuge where adults, stressed by their jobs and life, can discover that they still have a child in them
Seems like your making excuses for bad behavior. Treat others like you would like to be treated yourself. Works across all age, demographic and genders! :P

And if I where to "recapture my youth", I would probably do/say things that would be entirely different from what you would do/say. That's the point, it doesn't matter what people are like now, they regress to their youthful state which could mean being a pleasant, well mannered man/woman now, turning into a loud mouthed obnoxious brat on the internet.
And why wouldn't people use the internet to recapture youth, it's actually the perfect place! The whole idea of anonymity promotes/allows for this.
I couldn't exactly run down the street shouting to old laddies "Fuck You!" then running off but on the land of internets, people can do such things.
I'm not making excuses for bad behaviour, when I say "regressing back to a youthful state" I don't mean someone can download a hack and start raging in the knock-out stages of the EuroCup. I mean the more tongue and cheek sense of "recapturing youth".
