as much as i like you guys and the way you play but you really think this is enough to make a post like this to get a decent & usefull mgc? good luck anyway :)
i've tried contacting a substantial amount of mgcs. That didn't work out, so i'm now trying to find one through cf. I know it's a long shot, but it's worth a try.
did you try the ESL forums allready? there are also some good mgc's on the look for some usefull teams; mostly focused on other games but if you're lucky and selling yourself good it shouldn't be a problem i gues.
check the EU section and also the DE section as there are the most activitys it seems for me.
the presentation we send to mgcs was longer. this is a forum post so why make it overkill by flooding it with irrelevant mission and future related statements. This is basicly all you need to know.
Make a decent presentation. Than send out the presentation to the list which has been written down at the tek-9 forum. Quite sure that there is a multigaming willing to pick you up
also I think sending to a list of orgs is not the best way of doing things, you are far better trying to target 2 or 3 at a time max - rather than mass mail and hoping for the best.
that's exactly what i've done. I've also tried numerous different ways to see what would get the best result :
- mail to [email protected]
- contact one of the generaldirectors through irc to make a chat that evolves into
- post in their "application" forum.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not posting this on forum because i'm lazy, i've been on this for about 2 months.
there are mgcs who prefer to receive applications in emails and there are mgcs that prefer a more personal approach. For teams, it's a gamble really. Atleast contacting through irc gets you a good idea whether or not the mgc is interrested in your team rather then just sending a mail and never receiving an answer.
Also, known and achieved clans such as tlr&tcm get more applications then other mgcs. You hate people asking you because 49 out of 50 aren't really up to your standards anyway and you just want to scan what they have to say so you waste like 10-20 seconds max on their application :d My experience with newer and more unknown mgcs that are on the lookout for teams is that they are more open to interaction and often have alot of questions themselves. Unfortunately, most of those newer mgcs see no future in ET and want to focus on games like cod4&cs.
